Trivia / A Heist with Markiplier

• Acting for Two: Mark plays a total of six different Characters: Mark, Yancy, Magnum, Illinois, Warfstache, and Darkiplier. Thankfully, unlike Who Killed Markiplier?, none of these characters appear onscreen at the same time, making for a much easier filming process.
• Irony as She Is Cast: MatPat, who owns a science- and theory-based show, plays a character who wants to feed Mark and the Player. Rosanna Pansino, who owns a baking show, plays a character who wants to use science to find out what caused the Zombie Apocalypse.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The planned beginning for the story was much different. Originally, the protagonist (i.e., you) would have started off on a building across from the museum, shooting a harpoon gun across the sky into the museum, and then would zipline into the museum. Mark would then crash in after you, crashing into glass panes with different labels in such a way that the shattered pieces end up having the letters to spell "A Heist with Markiplier". Unfortunately, this sequence ended up being scrapped due to budget constraints.
  • Mark dragging the guard into the plant was supposed to be more elaborate, with about 6 arms popping out of it.
  • Jacksepticeye was meant to play the Hermit, but he was too busy so MatPat stepped in instead.
• Word of God:
  • The pirate captain's name is never mentioned in the entire adventure. It was revealed by Mark on Twitter to be Captain Magnum.
  • While it's heavily implied in the ending itself, Mark confirmed in the livestream that Ending 6 is the canon ending, and that A Date With Markiplier takes place after it.
  • Mark also clarified in the livestream that the Markiplier in both this and A Date with Markiplier is not the same Markiplier in Who Killed Markiplier?, which was a popular fan theory.
