Trivia / A Decent Self-Insert, Probably

• Inspiration for the Work: The author's notes to chapter 12 mention another self-insert-style fanfic, 'Eclipse of the Heart' by FadedPhantom, as one of the inspirations for this one.
• Outdated by Canon: As pointed out in the author's notes, the fic was plotted prior to the release of Kingdom Hearts III. This is most blatantly visible in the Hand Wave explanation for why the original Nobody version of Organization XIII has somehow come back into existence alongside their resurrected human versions, which looks unnecessarily complicated next to canon simply turning the resurrected human versions back into Nobodies.
• Series Hiatus: The fic has been "Deprioritized but not cancelled (I promise!!)" since late 2019 while the author works on Beyond the Borders. Chapters have been posted since then, but at the pace of about one per year.
