  • Blooper: When Scrooge tells Bob Cratchit to remove the coals from the fireplace, Cratchit's actor, Gene Lockheart, burns his hand doing so and the take of him nursing his hand is left intact.
  • Real-Life Relative: Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit are played by Gene and Kathleen Lockheart, and their daughter June played Belinda Cratchit.
  • Throw It In!: Bob Cratchit burning his hand in the coal wasn't meant to happen, but the take was left in the movie.

  • What Could Have Been: Scrooge was supposed to have been played by Lionel Barrymore, but he was confined to a wheelchair by a hip injury.
