  • Blooper: When Scrooge tells Bob Cratchit to remove the coals from the fireplace, Cratchit's actor, Gene Lockhart, burns his hand doing so and the take of him nursing his hand is left intact.
  • Fake Brit: Canadian-American actor Gene Lockhart plays the British Bob Cratchit.
  • Real-Life Relative: Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit are played by Gene and Kathleen Lockheart, and their daughter June played Belinda Cratchit.
  • Throw It In!: Bob Cratchit burning his hand in the coal wasn't meant to happen, but the take was left in the movie.
  • Uncredited Role: David Snell worked as an uncredited additional composer.
  • What Could Have Been: Scrooge was supposed to have been played by Lionel Barrymore, but he was confined to a wheelchair by a hip injury.
