New Testament SD Gundam Gaiden Gundam King Story is a Cardass series in the SD Gundam Gaiden Series released in 2020.
Taking place before the events of SD Gundam Gaiden Knights Of The Round Table, it stars the father of Crown Knight Gundam, King Gundam I, back to when he was around his son's age, and tells the story of how the Knights of the Round Table were formed.

- A Day in the Limelight: The third chapter, "Barbarian Knight Awakening", focuses on Barbarian Knight Conan Gundam and how he joined the Knights of the Round Table.
- Dem Bones: The Main Villians of this story, Blizardes, have a major skeleton motif to them, with bones surrounding their bodies if they're not actual bone monsters, and a good number of them appear quite similar to The Grim Reaper. Even the human(-ish) members like King Scirocco, Knight Recoa and Shamen Sarah all wear bones around their persons.
- Developing Doomed Characters: This story has King Gundam I as the Main Protagonist, and as such focuses on his growth. Y'know, the same guy who years from now will get the axe when the Zabiloniya Empire conquers his Kingdom?
- Doomed by Canon: We already know that King Gundam I will die years from now in the events of Knights of the Round Table, when the Zabiloniya Empire take over the Kingdom of Britis. It's not even a spoiler, considering that's how Knights of the Round Table starts.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: Due to being a prequel to Knights of the Round Table, the third chapter "Barbarian Knight Awakening" pretty casually spoils that Barbarian Knight Conan Gundam is actually Command Gundam from the SD Command Chronicles series, even coming with a bonus mini special feature explaining how he ended up in Lacroa.
- Mythology Gag: King Scirocco's true form is Endundead Knight Titania, based off of the Titania from the SD Gundam G Generation series. This makes a bit of sense, as the Titania was developed from the Palace Athene and The-O, both of which were built Paptimus Scirocco.
