Pre-series

  • 18th Century: To face the rising threat of the Gedoshu, the emperor of Japan ordains the Shiba House's Retsudo Shiba and his retainers to fight the monsters with their mastered Mojikara, forming the first generation of Shinkengers. (Act 2)
  • 1992: Led by Masataka Shiba/Shinken Red, the 17th generation of Shinkengers continue the fight against the Gedoushu. With the Shiba Clan growing weaker and the prospect of defeat seeming inevitable, Masataka, noting the potential to use Mojikara in the young son of one of his followers, arranges with his stewards Hikoma Kusakabe and Toshizo Tanba to raise the boy to act as a decoy successor for the next generation while his unborn daughter will be raised as a samurai in secret. While the young Takeru being handed the Shishi Origami by his dying father amidst the Gedoushu attack before being taken into the care of Hikoma, Masataka and his team only just manage to defeat the Gedoushu for now with Masataka giving his life to perform the Sealing Character against Dokoku Chimatsuri as his pregnant wife is taken to safety. In the midst of the final battle, Kyoko Shiraishi (the 17th Shinken Pink) is crippled in her legs, forcing her to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. (Act 11, 34, 45)
  • 1993: Kaoru Shiba/Princess Shinken Red is born.

Series

  • The Gedoushu begin a new assault on Earth as the Rokumon Junk holding the recovering Dokoku Chimatsuri rerises to the surface of the Sanzu River. Seeing the new troubles from the Gedoushu return, Takeru Shiba, 18th head of the Shiba Clan, summons his four retainers to form the 18th generation of Shinkenger. The Shinkengers defeat Kagekamuro. (Act 1)
  • The Shinkengers use ShinkenOh for the first time and defeat Ootsumuji. (Act 2)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Rokuroneri. (Act 3)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Namaiyashi. (Act 4)
  • The Shinkengers obtain the Kabuto Origami and defeat Yanasudare. (Act 5)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Zuboshimeshi. (Act 6)

  • The Shinkengers meet Genta Umemori, a Sushi seller and Takeru's childhood friend, and witness him transform into Shinken Gold. The Shinkengers defeat Isagitsune. (Act 17)
  • After initially refusing, Takeru lets Genta join the Shinkengers. The Shinkengers defeat Hyakuyappa. (Act 18)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Oinogare. (Act 19)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Utakasane. Genta meets Daiki Kaito/Kamen Rider Diend, who steals his Ika Origami. (Act 20)
  • Tsukasa Kadoya/Kamen Rider Decade arrives at the Shinkengers' world and disguises himself as a Kuroko to enter the Shiba Clan Household. Daiki gets his Diendriver stolen by Chinomanako. (Kamen Rider Decade Ep. 24)
  • Chiaki is unexpectedly reunited with his father Kurando Tani, working with Mako to stop Sasamatage from making humans run amok as the Shinkengers face an influx of Nanashi brought about by the strange new entity. After being warned by Narutaki that the world will be destroyed by "Decade", Takeru confronts Tsukasa Kadoya. (Act 21)
  • Inspired by Hikoma's relationship with Takeru, Tsukasa joins the Shinkengers and Kamen Rider Kuuga in destroying the Ayakashi Rakider before returning to the Hikari Studio which he now accepts as home as it leaves for the next world while Daiki Kaito is forced to return the Ika Origami to Genta in exchange for his recovered Diendriver.   • The Shinkengers defeat Urawadachi. (Act 22)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Gozunagumo I. (Act 23)
  • Takeru transforms into Super Shinken Red for the first time. The Shinkengers defeat Gozunagumo II. (Act 24)
  • Dokoku revives Manpuku Aburame, who brings with him a vast horde of Kusare Gedoshu. Enduring a three day these stronger Gedoshu, the Shinkengers find the Secret Disk used by the first Shinken Red to seal Aburame three hundred years prior. Transforming it into the Kyoryu Disk, Takeru becomes Hyper Shinken Red and wields the power of the Kyoryu Origami to destroy Aburame and his Kusare Gedoshu. (The Movie)
  • Ryunosuke transforms into Super Shinken Blue for the first time. The Shinkengers defeat Yumebakura. (Act 25, 26)
  • Chiaki transforms into Super Shinken Green for the first time. The Shinkengers defeat Abekonbe. (Act 27)
  • September 6th: Akumaro Sujigarano joins the Gedoshu and Genta creates Secret Lantern DaiGoyou. (Act 28)
  • Mako transforms into Super Shinken Pink for the first time. The Shinkengers defeat Dokurobou. (Act 29)

  • The Shinkengers defeat Azemidoro. (Act 31)
  • The Shinkengers obtain the Ushi Origami and defeat Happozou. (Act 32, 33)
  • October 24-25: Ryunosuke’s old kabuki colleague Shintarō Matsukawa performs Autumn's Young Kabuki a week after Samurai Ha-Oh is first formed to defeat Futagawara. (Act 35)
  • The Shinkenger are unexpectedly joined by Go-On Red after the Go-Onger's failed attempt to defeat Pollution President Batcheed; after they're scattered through the Braneworlds and Takeru and Sosuke nearly come into conflict over their differences, both teams ultimately unite to finally bring an end to the Gaiark forever. An attempt by Akumaro, Juzo and Dayu to interfere with the battle is stopped by an angelic Sentai team in secret. (Shinkenger Vs. Go-Onger)
  • Kotoha transforms into Super Shinken Yellow for the first time. The Shinkengers defeat Sogizarai. (Act 36)
  • The Shinkengers defeat Mochibetori. (Act 37)

  • Following a New Year's party, the Shinkengers face the assassin Yomotsugari, who is sent to kill Shinken Red. Though managing to seriously injure Takeru, Yomotsugari is destroyed following the sudden appearance of the Princess Shinken Red and the true 18th head of the Shiba clan, Kaoru Shiba. (Act 44)
  • Revealing his position as decoy of the Lady Shiba to his teammates, Takeru concedes his role as Shinken Red to Kaoru who takes command of the Shinkengers as they continue the fight against the Gedoushu while Takeru meets a final confrontation with Juzo. (Act 45)
  • Takeru and Juzo engage in their last duel while the Shinkengers overcome the Oborojime that had been empowered by Shitari of the Bones' sacrifice. (Act 46)
  • Takeru's epic duel with Juzo finally ends with the Uramasa itself denying its master his only desire, with the souls that formed it passing on following his death. Amidst the next battle with the Gedoushu, Shinken Pink meets Dayu Usukawa in a confrontation that leads Dayu to sacrifice her shamisen, freeing the anguished soul of Shinza which allows Dokoku to complete his surface to the mortal realm. (Act 47)
  • Through absorbing Dayu, Dokoku uses her human element to withstand the Sealing Character performed by Kaoru as he overwhelms the Shinkengers who only just escape with their lives thanks to Takeru. Recognizing Takeru's heroism and bond with his vassals, Kaoru adopts him as her own son, choosing to step down and allow him to succeed her as the 19th head of the Shiba clan, giving him her blessing to reassume his position as Shinken Red and lead his team in one final offensive against Dokoku as the Sanzu River overflows into the mortal realm. (Act 48)
  • The Shinkengers prevail in a gruelling final battle, finally destroying Dokoku Chimatsuri and thus sending the Sanzu River back to the underworld with Shitari of the Bones surviving on the Rokumon Junk. Takeru is entrusted by Kaoru to maintain guard at the Shiba House with Hikoma as his vassals go their separate ways. (Closing Act)

Post-series

  • October 2nd, 2010: Assuming the identity of Buredoran of Chimatsuri, the dissidant Gosei Angel employs the aid of Shitari to capture Takeru Shiba an place him under his control. But once learning of his benefactor's true intent to sent the Sanzu River's water into Gosei World, Shitari refuses to aid him. Luckily, the Goseigers and Shinkengers retrieve Takeru and defeat Buredoran. (Goseiger Vs. Shinkenger)
  • 2011: The Shinkengers, among the first 34 Super Sentai, oppose an invasion of Earth by the Space Empire Zangyack in what becomes known the Legend War, ending with all Super Sentai sacrificing their power to destroy the invasion fleet. Dispersed throughout the universe, the powers ultimately resurface as Ranger Keys whilst the former Super Sentai disband. (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger ep. 1, 199 Hero Great Battle)
  • 2012: A month following the defeat of the second Zangyack invasion, the powers of the 34 Super Sentai are returned to them by the Gokaigers. (Gokaiger ep. 51)
  • 2012: The Shinkengers, among the first 34 Super Sentai, are apparently defeated by Tsukasa Kadoya (Kamen Rider Decade), Great Leader of Dai-Shocker which seeks to wipe out the Super Sentai, opposing Dai-Zangyack led by Emperor (formerly Captain) Marvelous (Gokai Red) who are hunting the Kamen Riders. Infact, all the presumed deceased Sentai and Riders had been transported to the dimensional rift, from which they emerge to defeat the new Shocker-Zangyack Alliance. (Super Hero Taisen)
  • 2013: Kotoha Hanaori uses her mojikara to help Shelly release the lock preventing Geki Jūmonji from transforming into Space Sheriff Gavan Type-G. The Shinkengers participate in the battle against Space Crime Syndicate Madou's army of revived monsters. (Super Hero Taisen Z)
  • 2017: The Shinkengers, among the first 38 Super Sentai, provide their power for the Ninningers and Zyuohgers to defeat Gillmarda. (Zyuohger vs. Ninninger)
