• August 17, 2016: The app is launched, along with the first three stories: The Freshman, Most Wanted, and The Crown & the Flame.
• August 22, 2016: The first and only premium dates, Chris: Luxury Getaway, James: Masquerade Ball &, Kaitlyn: The Perfect Date are released.
• October 19, 2016: The first proper side book & holiday special, The Freshman: Love Bites is released.
• December 7, 2016: The first Christmas holiday special, The Freshman: Snowed In is released.
• December 15, 2016: The first book with a gender-customizable protagonist, Endless Summer, is released. It's also the first book to use a more anime like character & background set.
• January 4, 2017: The shortest "full" book in Choices history (with only 6 chapters), The Haunting of Braidwood Manor, is released. It was also the first horror book in the Choices franchise.
• February 8, 2017: The first Valentine's holiday special The Freshman: Game of Love is released
• April 14, 2017: The first book with a customizable love interest, The Royal Romance, was released. It was also the first Choices book to be released on Fridays.
• July 12, 2017:
  • The first sequel series, The Sophomore (a continuation of The Freshman), was released.
  • The first original GOC book of 2017, Hero is released. It's also the second & last book to use the Endless Summer look for backgrounds and character models.
• September 7, 2017: The first book to be based entirely on one of Pixelberry's original IPs, High School Story, was released. It's also the first GOC book to use the more normal art style for characters and backgrounds that Pixelberry is known for.
• October 18, 2017: The first book with a Content Warning at the start, It Lives In The Woods, was released. It was also the first book where the main character could die at the end, and the first book where the first two chapters were released on launch day, setting the standard for all future releases.
• January 24, 2018: The finale of It Lives In The Woods and the announcement at the end revealed that it was the first instance of an anthology being released in the Choices franchise.
• February 28, 2018: The first book with a gender-customizable love interest, Perfect Match, was released.
• April 9, 2018: The first book to released weekly on a Monday, The Junior is released.
• October 8, 2018: The first technical anthology, High School Story: Class Act is released.
• October 10, 2018: The first proper anthology, It Lives Beneath is released.
• October 24, 2018: The first book where the main character's sexuality can be explicitly customized, The Elementalists, was released.
• November 5, 2018: The announcement that Across the Void was going on hiatus was made, setting the trend of more complex books having mid-season hiatuses from then on.
• December 21, 2018: The Freshman series (at the time, the longest-running series in the Choices franchise) came to a close.
• February 14-15, 2019: The ability to watch videos for diamonds was made available (IOS on the former day, Android on the latter day).
• April 3, 2019: "Choices Insiders", a monthly newsletter with sneak peaks and exclusive info of upcoming books, was announced.
• April 9, 2019: Choices Insiders' first issue was released.
• May 30, 2019: The first book to released weekly on a Thursday, Platinum is released.
• June 22, 2019: The first book to released weekly on a Saturday, The Royal Heir, Book 1 is released.
• August 4, 2019: The first book to released weekly on a Sunday, Desire & Decorum, Book 3 is released.
• August 22, 2019: The key timer was announced to be being changed to 3 hours for everyone.
• October 3, 2019: The announcement of four holiday specials was made.
• October 17, 2019: The last book to released weekly on a Thursday Bachelorette Party ended.
• November 27, 2019: The first and so far only GOC holiday special, The Elementalists: Winters Past is released.
• December 19, 2019: The first iteration of the Choices VIP early access scheme was released, along with Hot Couture and With Every Heartbeat for VIP players, With Every Heartbeat is also the first single love interest book released in Choices history.
• December 22, 2019: The last side book to not be released exclusivity to VIP players, Desire & Decorum: First Winter is released.
• December 29, 2019: The last main book to released weekly on a Sunday Save the Date ended.
• January 12, 2020: The last book in general to released weekly on a Sunday Desire & Decorum: First Winter ended.
• March 11, 2020: High School Story: Class Act, Book 3 comes to a close ending the third longest series in the franchise.
• March 16, 2020: The first widely-released single love interest book, Witness: A Bodyguard Romance, was released. It's also the first Choices book to be rated NC-17.
• July 27, 2020: The first book in which chapters are released daily, My Two First Loves, was released. It's also the last book that Pixelberry regularly released chapters on Saturday, & Sunday.
• September 14, 2020: The last book to released weekly on a Monday Witness: A Bodyguard Romance ended.
• November 7, 2020: The last book that didn't released weekly on a Wednesday OR a Friday, (Saturday) Open Heart: Second Year ended.
• December 16, 2020: The first VIP book, Hot Couture, was released to all players.
• December 30, 2020: The first book where the main character can be customized as transgender or non-binary, Foreign Affairs, was released.
• January 22, 2021: The announcement of Most Wanted, Book 2, Hero, Book 2, Ride or Die, Book 2 & The Elementalists, Book 3 being cancelled marked the first time any books were cancelled.
• March 26, 2021: The last Early Access book under the original Early Access scheme and also the first Early Access book overall to be GOC, Slow Burn is released to Early Access players.
• April 27, 2021: The last series premiere before the new VIP release scheme, Laws Of Attraction, was released.
• July 2, 2021: The last VIP book under the original VIP scheme, Slow Burn, finishes its early-access release.
• August 23, 2021: The announcement was made that all new books going forward would be VIP early access, before being released to all players a couple of months later.
• August 27, 2021: The first VIP early access book under the new scheme, Shipwrecked, was released on early access.
• October 22, 2021: The first VIP early access book under the new scheme, Shipwrecked, was released for all players.
• November 17, 2021: The Royal Finale comes to a close, bringing an end to the longest running series in the Choices franchise.
• December 29, 2021: Wake the Dead goes on hiatus, marking the first time a VIP early access book has gone on hiatus.
• March 21, 2022: It was announced that Surrender would be getting a Book 2, marking the first time that a VIP early-access book has been given a sequel.
• May 13, 2022: It was announced that Crimes of Passion would be getting a Book 2, marking the first time that a gender-customizable VIP early-access book has been given a sequel.
• June 24, 2022: The third book of The Nanny Affair was released, making it the first trilogy in the Choices franchise to have only one love interest, and also the first trilogy of the 2020s.
• July 29, 2022: The first Early Access book to release chapters on a different day for all players than the Early Access day, Murder at Homecoming was released on Early Access.
• September 14, 2022: The first Early Access book to release on a different days for all players instead of the Early Access day, Murder at Homecoming was released to all players.
• November 25, 2022: The general release of Slow Burn comes to a close, thereby ending the "OG VIP" era.
• December 19, 2022: It was announced that, from 2024, all sequels would be VIP early-access as well. It was also revealed that Immortal Desires would be getting a Book 2, marking the first time that a book that was previous announced to be a standalone got a sequel.
• January 13, 2023: The last series before the new Early Access release scheme, Laws of Attraction ended.
• April 2023: The 17+ tag was retroactively added to Roommates with Benefits.
• May 2023: All five GOC books for 2023 were confirmed, the maximum number of ads that could be watched in a day was increased to 100, and the first VIP early access sequel, Unbridled, was announced.
• June 27, 2023: A blogpost was released that confirmed details about the next four sequels (Unbridled, BoLaS, Book 2, The Cursed Heart, Book 2, and Immortal Desires, Book 2). Other future stories were hinted at in the blog, including a sports-themed story, a supernatural romance story, and a murder-mystery story (that isn't Crimes of Passion or Dirty Little Secrets).
• June 28, 2023: The first GOC book of 2023, Crimes of Passion, Book 2, was released.
• June 30, 2023: The message at the end of the finale of Roommates with Benefits confirmed that there would be a spinoff focusing on a new couple, making it the first gender-locked anthology series.
• August 18, 2023: The first original GOC book of 2023, Dirty Little Secrets, was released on Early Access.
• August 25, 2023: The first Choices Insiders to be published a week earlier than usual, as well as the announcement that several books would be having their release dates pushed forward.
• September 1, 2023: The second sequel of 2023, Blades of Light and Shadow, Book 2, was released.
• September 13, 2023: The first VIP-exclusive book, The Dalton Affair, was released. It's also the first VIP only side book.
• September 25, 2023: It was announced that Crimes of Passion would be getting a Book 3, making it the first gender-of-choice trilogy of the 2020s.
• September 26, 2023: Hearts on Fire was announced to be release sometime in the future.
• September 27, 2023: The first region-exclusive book (India) The Promise of Forever is released.
• October 18, 2023: The first original GOC book of 2023, Dirty Little Secrets, was released to all players.
• November 15, 2023: The first VIP early access sequel, The Cursed Heart, Book 2, was released on early access, thereby beginning the "full VIP" era (that is, the VIP scheme now covers all books, new and sequels).
• December 25, 2023: Book 3 of Blades of Light and Shadow was announced, making it the first trilogy of the 2020s to have more than one love interest.
• December 27, 2023: The first VIP early access sequel, The Cursed Heart, Book 2, is released for all players.
• January 12, 2024: The first VIP-exclusive side story to be released before the main story, The Deadliest Gambit, is released.
• January 26, 2024: The first GOC Book of 2024, Hot Shot is released on Early Access.
• February 2, 2024: The first book to released to all players in 2024 Unbridled: An Untameable Story is released. Starting with this book every Early Access book released to all players will be released weekly on the day that isn't the Early Access weekly day.
• February 14, 2024: The first completely non-canon Choices special (as well as the first one to not be based on any one specific book), Villainous Valentine, is released exclusively for VIP players.
• February 28, 2024:
  • The first sequel to a series that was Uncancelled, Immortal Desires, Book 2, is released on VIP early access.
  • The first gender-locked book to released to all players in 2024 Guarded is released.
• March 6, 2024:
  • The first "original" GOC Book of 2024, Hot Shot is released to all players.
  • The first region-exclusive book (India) to get a sequel, The Promise of Forever, Book 2 is released. It's also the first book to use AI in it's backgrounds, outfits, and character models.
• March 15, 2024: The first multi-LI book of 2024, The Deadliest Game, is released on early access. The first "original" book in 2024 to not be rated NC-17. It's also the first original book since The Phantom Agent that the main character can be transgender or non-binary.
• March 16, 2024: The first book to be cancelled that is not a sequel, A Taste for Royalty.
• March 27, 2024:
  • The first region-exclusive series (India) The Promise of Forever ends.
  • The first gender-locked book of 2024, Along Came Treble is released on Early Access.
• April 1, 2024: The first April Fools themed book Make That Date! is released exclusivity for VIP Players. It's also the first VIP Exclusive book that the main character can be transgender or non-binary.
• April 19, 2024: The first sequel to a series that was Uncancelled, Immortal Desires, Book 2 is released to all players with the first four chapters.
• April 24, 2024: The first gender-locked book of 2024 to not be rated NC-17 The Ghost of Us is released on Early Access.
• May 2024:
  • The first multi-LI book of 2024 & also the first original book to not be rated NC-17 in 2024, The Deadliest Game, is set to released to all players.
  • The first gender-locked book of 2024 Along Came Treble, is set to released to all players.
• Summer 2024:
  • The first gender-locked book of 2024 to not be rated NC-17 The Ghost of Us is set to released to all players.
  • The first gender-locked spin-off (Roommates with Benefits), Rivals with Benefits is set to released on Early Access.
  • The second original multi-LI book of 2024, Terror Fest is set to released on Early Access.
