- Bob's panic over their predicament causes him to become 'Droopy Bob'. This is probably the worst shape the restaurant's finances have ever been in, and the hits just keep coming - the bank is one week away from foreclosing on their loan and repossessing their kitchen equipment, a sinkhole opens up right outside the entrance and breaks a water main, making it nearly impossible for customers to get in even if they do show up, not to mention cutting off the water, and then a skeleton is found in the hole, turning it into a crime scene, further disrupting any chance at business. And the final cherry on top of the misery sandwich? Mr. Fishoeder, who might have been willing to let the rent slide for the month so the Belchers could pay the bank, is arrested for the murder, pretty much yanking away their last hope. If it hadn't been for the effort of the kids, that would have been the end of it all.
- When the family is buried under the sinkhole, Louise blames herself for their predicament and laments how she's not brave.
- Seeing how insecure Louise is throughout the movie is quite sad considering how she's normally confident on the show.
- The flashback to Bob's Mother while heartwarming, it's still sad how the kids never got to meet her. Another thing to note to is that Bob sounds as though he's trying to keep from crying when he talks about Grandmom Belcher.
- Linda losing hope and believing that they are about to die.
- Two of the Burgers of the Day are the "Hole in my Heart Burger" (served with artichoke hearts) and the "Crying all the Thyme Burger". Geez. Are you okay, Bob?
