*** What hurts even more about May revealing she's known the truth is that it's a reflection of the scene only a few minutes before this one where ''Otto'' revealed that he knew the truth, down to Peter's response being the exact same choice of words. "You knew?". With Otto, Peter said it in horror and with rage toward all that it implied. Here, he just sounds... broken. He's tried ''so hard'' to keep this secret from May so that she wouldn't worry. But she knew, and she ''did'' worry. And he's only finding out now, just before he has to lose her.
