- Hansel absolute insistence that in no situation ever do he and Gretel talk about their parents. It's a simple way to show how messed up he is over the situation and how much Gretel needs to talk about it in a very effective way.
- Jackson being forced to shoot himself. Similarly - though we only meet them for this brief scene - the teenager being forced to shoot his mother. (Both probably qualify even more strongly as Nightmare Fuel.)
