Tear Jerker / Twitch Plays Pokémon Crystal Anniversary

  • THE MOB RELEASED BEZT THE CYNDAQUIL. All while trying to retrieve him.
    • Made even worse is the fact that he was never used at all.
  • Evan's Sunshine.
  • After the S.S. Anne crash, people started lore that Azure died while on the ship.
  • Evan's Past, Present, and Future.
To us (the voices), we see a big blue flash appear, but to Evan, he sees Azure. The blue flashes are Evan fighting against control of the voices to think about his missing friend Azure. He refuses to listen to the voices, which are telling him that Azure is dead.
  • This comic about the crash of the S.S. Anne.
  • During a Daycare shuffle gone wrong, QH the Omanyte was released.
  • Mixed with a bit of creepiness, the beloved Battle Tent from the Anniversary Red playthrough has been destroyed, and has certainly seen better days. The outside looks completely busted up, and there's nothing inside of it. Or at least, there only appears to be nothing inside of it. A sign confirmed that someone has opened the door, and that someone is likely Giovanni, as a secret staircase which appeared after the Power Plant was restored led to the original Rocket Hideout, now also in ruins.
  • The biker gang on Route 8 who are displeased with the Underground Path being destroyed are now the "Helix Choir". Their teams consist of several cameos from TPP Red. The first member used Pokemon who were released: DUX, Digrat, Cabbage, and Abby. The second used Team Dome: Lord Dome himself and the False Prophet. The final member only uses a single Pokemon: Lord Helix. The truly sad part happens when their after-battle dialogue shows up. One comments about how "many of their members have fallen", and another comments about how the choir is all he has left. In case it didn't sink in yet, this is a harsh reminder of reality. An open acknowledgement that TPP is dying in terms of relevance, how it's become a pale shade of its former glory, and how many prominent community members and fans alike have left, with the only ones still maintaining it being members of the old guard.
  • After the Twitch Watches Pokemon stream ended, the chat erupted with BibleThump emotes.
  • AIIIAAB is confirmed to be on top of Mt. Silver, and according to his mother he has not contacted her in quite some time. In addition, the Mob checked his bed, but there was nothing. Dream Red is gone. However, after collecting all the badges, the Mob checked again and was reunited with BABA.
  • It's said that goodbyes aren't forever, and that the best of friends can reunite if fate wills it so. Unfortunately, fate is also cruel, and it was perhaps the cruelest towards one Burglar Simon. In a shocking surprise, Evan finds him within the Cinnabar Volcano. What follows is perhaps the saddest event in the entire game - Simon reminisces about the eruption, and how he searched high and low for his partner, but could not find them. Once he returns to the site of the disaster, he finally breaks down, realizing that his partner died in the eruption, and gives Evan back the research notes he stole from Blaine, then stating that he wants to be left alone to mourn for his fallen friend.
  • The 3rd time in TPP history, did a Bloody Sunday-esque incident happen, called Woeful Wensday, because of the PC.
    • The worst part being, it really was half a week, causing several of our beloved Pokemon GONE.
    • Some examples were our 2nd Omanyte, sometimes called Jesus Helix, Both of our Sudowoodos, who is called FAKE, and our Meowth, sometimes called Cool-Cat.
  • The previous record for releases in an entire run was 44 in Anniversary Red. Day 27 had almost that many casualties alone...at the 0h11m mark.
    • Among the fallen was yet another Helix, the third one released this run. Evan clearly isn't a Helixian.
  • On Day 28, the Mob was forced into nuking 2 more boxes, resulting in 39 Pokemon being killed by the PC. By this point, the run had more casualties than previous 2 seasons combined.
  • After the game was beaten, it was restarted once more. The first order of business? Returning Kenyowl. After a month of Hyper Beaming and Air Slashing foes into oblivion, it was finally time for her to return home to her rightful owner. They knew it had to be done, but the Mob wasn't ready to let go.
  • During the post-game, the team was either deposited (Sailor Moo and Fox) or released (Lord Amber, Queendra and Tux). This is usually depicted in lore as the party breaking up and each one going their own way.
