• The crying owl.
• Tarou's death. After they were both speared through the chest by the ninth golem, the last thing he does is to tell Hanako that he loves her, then the wish he made saved her life.
• Hanako finally letting out her emotions.
• Many other times, too. For example, Hangetsu's death, the Master's death and the entire second battle with the 9th (when all of the Beast Knights wore funeral attire, as seen in the pages above) to name but a few.
• Pretty much any death in the series. YMMV if this includes Maimakterion or not.
• The aftermath of the final battle, where the animal companions tearfully part ways with their human masters.
