Tear Jerker / The Lake House

• Alex mourning the death of his father after Kate uses the Lake House's mailbox to send him a copy of a photobook of his father's work, notably an image of his father and Alex when he was younger at the Lake House.
• Kate and Alex's break-up. After Alex doesn't make it to their date, Kate begins to feel their relationship wouldn't work and recounts an incident where someone was hit by a car while off work. The scene doesn't help with Kate's letter superimposed over Alex futily sending letters to Kate.
• The Reveal: The reason Alex never met up with Kate in 2008 was because he was the one who was hit by the car near the beginning in her timeline.
