Tear Jerker / Letters to Juliet

Go To

  • Charlie's What the Hell, Hero? speech to Sophia for her enabling a Tragic Dream when they come upon a gravestone of Lorenzo, saying she doesn't really know what it's like to lose someone. This alone hurts Sophie, causing her to walk away in tears.
    • Claire then quietly walks up to her grandson and gives a soft reprimand.
Claire: You're wrong. Sophie's mother ran out on her when she was only a little girl.
Charlie: (bitterly) It's different, Gran. It's different.
Claire: No... Well, yes, but....Sophie's mother choose to leave her. And you knew that, even when you were a little boy, your parents loved you.
