     Season 1

Episode 6

Episode 7

  • Another Heroic Sacrifice. This time, George took a bullet for Niska. She is genuinely sad that she couldn't save him, and he spends his last moments with Odi reminding him of happy memories.
    • The way Odi's damaged speech function stutters at that moment gives the impression that he's trying not to cry.
      Odi: You have died, George.

Episode 8

  • Leo trying to negotiate getting killed with his synth family only to find out that since he is no longer human (and therefore virtually has no rights) he's going to be kept alive and experimented on so Hobb can figure out his hybrid brain.
  • Him desperately trying to convince Karen to help them afterwards is an especially sad moment.
  • Despite seemingly getting away with his entire family intact and the code for machine consciousness at their fingertips, Leo is forced to abandon Fred because Hobb has altered his programming to make him conscious, but unable to disobey Hobb's orders. The way Fred entirely agrees to this just makes it worse.

     Season 2

Episode 1

  • Ten's entire existence. Effectively born in the South American mine where he'd been set to work, he escapes and smuggles himself to England to join up with Leo's resistance. He's eager to help rescue more synths, he takes joy in the way he has to manually learn English, and generally embodies The World Is Just Awesome. He's a happy, joyful, unambiguously heroic soul. Then the Qualia sniper shoots him in the head.

Episode 3

  • When Mattie first activates Odi after uploading the consciousness virus to him, all he can do is say the word 'Apricot' in broken speech. For Mattie its just a moment of disappointment that the update didn't work, but for the viewers who know Odi, Its heartbreaking. Apricot was Georges favourite jam, and in Odi's first glimmer of consciousness, broken as it may be, his first thought is still looking after the man who was basically his father.

Episode 7

  • Odi, after spending some time desperately trying and failing to find a purpose in life, commits suicide by completely overwriting his programming and restoring himself to non-sentient startup mode. Made worse by his note and Mattie's crying as she discovers him.
  • Peter dying in Karen's arms as they both find amusement in the discovery that Karen can shed tears.
  • The conscious synths have been rescued from Qualia, and it appears that Leo might finally be able to do some good after a few episodes of morally-questionable actions, guided by Hester. Then the microwave-EMP emitter-things activate, and nearly all the newly freed synths drop dead on the spot, while all Leo can do is scream.
