Obi-Wan....please.

  • Immediately in the first issue, Vader flashbacks to Padme's death.
  • During a vision Vader has when he tries to bleed a kyber crystal after he kills Palpatine, he finds Obi-Wan and sorrowfully gestures for him to end the pain he caused.
    • What's even more tragic is that the implied reason Vader didn't heed the vision is because he knew Obi-Wan couldn't bring himself to kill Anakin even after everything that happened.
  • The whole of Issue #25 (the ending of the Fortress Vader arc and the finale of the series) counts as one—the whole issue is a trip down memory lane for nearly all of Anakin's/Vader's memories, which involve him destroying most of them, all for the hope of resurrecting Padmé And then, when she finally sees her at arm's grasp, she commits suicide and is brutally struck by lightning, hammering home to him he cannot undo the past.
    • Even more, tearjerker that Padme appears to acknowledge that Anakin Skywalker is dead.
