- The real tearjerker is this: Haffa asking this just before dying could easily be interpreted as a bitter guilt trip, even if it wasn't intended as such. It certainly would make JR feel awful no matter how it was meant. Meanwhile, he died before JR responded, so he died not knowing if he was finally forgiven.
- And the music* during that scene...dear God, that music just makes it so much worse.
