- "Follow the Sun" - Kumi doesn't want Blackbird to leave, but, sobbing, presents her with a picture of her family that was entrusted to her. Blackbird heads on her way, everyone a bit tearful, but hopeful of seeing her again.
- Similarly, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" when Walter briefly leaves the group to join the circus. Buzz in particular is extremely broken up about it.
- In "Yesterday", Julia (one of the humans) leaves behind her teddy-bear, Maxwell. Her father ends up taking him to the trash. Unable to move, Maxwell just sits in the garbage pile, looking back at Julia's house, thinking that she doesn't love him anymore. This episode also features "Yesterday", one of the saddest songs from The Beatles.
