  • The TARDIS dematerializing in one time/place and rematerializing in another.
  • The Daleks shouting "EXTERMINATE!"
  • Any time a Time Lord regenerates.
  • Anything involving jelly babies.
  • The Doctor meeting and parting ways with his companions, particularly when they die.
  • The show's numerous title sequences.
  • Any episode where the body count totals at a grand zero, given that this is a show notable for its high death tolls.
  • Someone entering the TARDIS and marvelling that it's Bigger on the Inside.

  • From "An Unearthly Child":
    • Ian and Barbara discovering that the police box in the junkyard is a bit...unusual.
    • The TARDIS materializing in prehistoric Earth.
  • The first appearance of the Daleks in "The Daleks".
  • Susan threatening Ian and Barbara with a pair of scissors before using them to stab a matress in "The Edge of Destruction".
  • Two conversations between the First Doctor and Barbara in "The Aztecs": one in which he tells her "But you can't rewrite history! Not one line!", the other where he consoles her that "You failed to save a civilisation, but at least you helped one man."
  • Susan's description of her then-unnamed home planet in "The Sensorites".

    • The reveal of Dalek underwater at the end of the first episode.
    • Daleks crossing Westminster Bridge.

    • The Daleks chanting "Daleks conquer and destroy!" at the end of Episode Five.
  • From "The Underwater Menace":
    • The two-minute long "underwater ballet" sequence.
    • Professor Zaroff shouting "NOTHING IN ZE VURLD CAN STOP ME NOW!".
  • The Doctor's speech about the evils of the universe in "The Moonbase".
  • The Dalek civil war in the conclusion of "The Evil of the Daleks".
  • From "The Tomb of the Cybermen":
    • The Cybermen emerging from their tombs in Episode Two.

  • The Doctor telepathically showing Zoe a replay of his previous encounter with the Daleks in "The Wheel in Space".
  • The TARDIS breaking apart in "The Mind Robber".
  • The Cybermen emerging from the London sewers, and walking down the steps of St Paul's Cathedral in "The Invasion".
  • The Second Doctor being submerged in foam at the end of Episode Five of "The Seeds of Death".

  • A Sontaran taking off its helmet for the first time in "The Time Warrior".

  • Perhaps most infamously, the Sixth Doctor strangling Peri in a fit of insanity in "The Twin Dilemma".
  • The Sixth Doctor's final line in "Revelation of the Daleks": "I'll have to take you to— (episode ends)"
  • The TARDIS being pulled into the Gallifreyan judicial ship in the opening of "The Trial of a Time Lord:The Mysterious Planet"
  • The Sixth Doctor's "ten million years of absolute power" speech about the evil of the Time Lords in "The Ultimate Foe".

  • The Seventh Doctor being forced to break Ace's faith in him in "The Curse of Fenric".
  • "There are worlds out there where the skies are burning, the seas sleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere, there's danger! Somewhere, there's injustice! And somewhere else, the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace; we've got work to do." These words in the final moments of "Survival" marked the end of the show's 26-year classic run, ending an era of Doctor Who.
