A few of the original characters are replaced with various characters from other works in Vaguely Recalling JoJo because vanilla.ice is vaguely recalling the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga, so he fills in the things he does not remember with the things he remembers from the other series. - Magician's Red is now a Blaziken and Geb happens to be its weakness as a Water-type.
- Hermit Purple has a humanoid form called Grandpa Free, and that form resembles Plant Man.
- During the battle against Ebony Devil, Polnareff rolls around to shake off Ebony Devil. The attack is called Polnareff Rolling.
- Hoshi is the mugger who gets to be on the receiving end of Rubber Soul's coconut backbreaker.
- Jotaro and Anne also get drawn in the Kinnikuman artstyle in their Reaction Shot to Rubber Soul preforming the Coconut Backbreaker, due to it being an Argentine Backbreaker, which Robin Mask used as his signature technique under the name of Tower Bridge, and Jotaro also notably says "Gegee!" which is one of the cries of pain that Kinnikuman Suguru made when in pain.
- Faust is the doctor that treats Joseph.
- Miles Edgeworth appears on the TV Joseph used Hermit Purple on.
- Nena is replaced with Bridget and Empress is replaced with Roger the Teddy Bear.
- Jesus and Buddha from Saint Young Men can be seen in the background when Jotaro is confronting Enya.
- ZZ is replaced with Captain Falcon. He even compliments Kakyoin for doing a Boost Fire.
- Madotsuki and Seccom Masada are background characters during the Death 13 arc.
- Merry Nightmare and Yumeji Fujiwara show up during the Death 13 arc when Star Platinum turns against Jotaro.
- Hsien-Ko is the cashier at the Egyptian McDonald's.
- Blossom of The Powerpuff Girls is High Priestess and Polnareff becomes Prof. Utonium during an Art Shift.
- Part 24 starts off with a parody of 24. Mojo Jojo shows up in the title screen.
- The Speedwagon Foundation workers are replaced with Zato-1 (who is Rubber Soul in disguise), Black Jack, Pinoko, Faust, Dr. Kureha and Broly.
- Iggy turns the Fool into Regirock and pummels N'Doul into the ground.
- Adeline is the artist girl Rohan Kishibe falls in love with.
- Khnum is now Oingo's belt buckle.
- The pair of people who complained that their soda is warm is replaced with Captain Falcon/ZZ Top and Midler. Later, Midler screams when she finds Iggy in her soup.
- During the Oingo Boingo Bros. mini-arc, Boingo frequently art-shifts into Gohan. Eventually, he turns into a Super Sayian when pursuing Joseph's car.
- The guy whose face is kicked by Oingo is replaced by Broly. At the end of the episode, Broly shows up with Steely Dan and the Captain Tennile imposter to beat Oingo and Boingo up.
- When Oingo is impersonating Jotaro and trying to do the cigarette-eating trick, it takes the form of a WarioWare microgame.
- Chaka is replaced with Makoto Shishio and he fights off Shinnosuke Kagami, Sagara Sanosuke, and a delinquent.
- Aramaki Scaltinof
is the blacksmith who forged Anubis 1,200,000 years ago. - Shin makes a cameo as the carpenter who briefly talks with Mariah.
- Bast is replaced with Taokaka and one of the girls whose skirts Joseph accidentally flips when magnetized is Holo.
- When Mariah merges with Bastet and activates her super speed ability, she yells, "Clock Up!"
- Richter Belmont and Ciel provide Jonathan with some backup. When Jonathan impales Dio with a lance, a gag immediately calls them Vampire Busters.
- Due to Joseph's magnetism curse, Vegeta loses his bike, and Yami Yugi (singing the Tetsuwan Atom song) loses his Millenium Puzzle. Also, the cardboard "Gundam" shows up during this part.
- Joseph dons Neptuneman's mask and Avdol dons Big Budo's mask and they yell, "Magnet Power +/-" when turning Mariah's magnet powers against her.
- Will A. Zeppeli punches out Eruka and Suwako when demonstrating his Hamon techniques.
- When Sethan turns the woman protecting the cursed Polnareff into a fetus, her fetus form looks like a Yukkuri.
- Neferpitou replaces Poco because their nickname is Pitou.
- Duke Nukem's soul is in Daniel J. D'Arby's collection.
- Squigly is one of the wedding party-goers
- Double, Dr. Baldhead, Tom, and Nazrin are in Telence T. D'Arby's doll collection.
- Telence slices off a portion of Polnareff's long hair with a Queen of Hearts card featuring Yoshikage Kira's Stand "Killer Queen".
- The Screaming face Polnareff frequently makes is a popular Japanese meme of Sakuya Tachibana screaming.
