- The episode's opening parodies the opening to Adventure Time.

- The fact that Stocking, a girl, is Panty's 400th ex might go deeper in the Scott Pilgrim reference since Ramona's 4th ex is Roxanne who's also a girl.
- Adding to that, the number 1000 wasn't pulled out of nowhere. In Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Panty wanted to sleep with one thousand men before returning to heaven. To further reference the nod, Brief is the 1000th evil ex Frollo had to take on.
- Another Panty & Stocking reference is Quasimodo and Clopin pole-dancing to "Fly Away Now", much to Gaston's disgust.
- Before Achmed Frollo punches away the text box, it reads "The morning sun vanquishes..."
- FACE, the Kalimba TV channel, and the Aztec Rave Monkey all cameo when Yzma goes to make the potion. Considering the Aztec-esque symbolism of Yume Nikki, it sort of makes sense.
- The Stinger has a minor gag showing Yzma and Kronk testing the Power Glove. Kronk uses it to play Punch-Out!! and loses to Glass Joe.
- Frollo Beats Up Evil Residents
- "Dawn of another Frollo Show episode—previously on the previous one"
- It's not surprising to guess what the first part of Frollo and Gaston's fight would be based upon.
- Frollo quotes Duke Nukem's lines at times.
