General
- Like the previous season, SSSS.DYNAZENON also contains Transformers references.
- Kaiser Gridknight is, of all things, a reference to Starscream, specifically his appearance at his 'coronation' in The Transformers: The Movie, especially with the inverted jet wings on his back and the purple cape.
- The way every episode titles are in the form of question is similar to how Kamen Rider Drive episode titles were also questions. In addition, Yume also shared Shinnosuke's (the titular Kamen Rider) atrocious naming sense.
Intro: Imperfect by Masayoshi Ooishi
- In the opening, a cup ramen can be seen. This is the same cup ramen Riku was eating in episode 7 of Ultraman Z.
Episode 2: What's Your Reason for Fighting?
- While in his room, Chise asks Koyomi if being one of Dynazenon's pilots means that he's employed and will get paid for the job. During this conversation, you can faintly hear the theme song of Ultraman R/B playing on Koyomi's laptop.
- Not only is Ultraman R/B another Tsuburaya produced show, but it is also sung by Masayoshi Ooishi, who sang the OP (under OxT) for SSSS.Gridman.
Episode 4: What Is This Thumping Heart?
- Chise can be seen using Namco's neGcon PlayStation controller to play a racing game.
- Much like the fourth episode of its preceding series, the video playing on the karaoke bar's screen is the karaoke version of Die Hollen Polezei.
Episode 7: What's Our Reason for Coming Together?
- When Yume talks about her sister, you can see cameos by Deban, Ren Senjyu in his bear costume from episode 26 of Ultraman Nexus, and the boy who kicked him in that same episode.
- To finish off Bullbind, Dynazenon and Gridknight perform a combination attack that looks similar to Wild Wurger and Wild Falken's Twin Bird Strike attack.
- Right after that, Dynazenon does the same pose that Strike Freedom Gundam did in episode 41 of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Then you realize who voiced Gridknight...
Episode 10: Which Memories Do You Regret?
- The episode is a Whole-Plot Reference to Episode 14 of Ultraman Z, where a kaiju with Time Master abilities allows one of the protagonists to talk with a deceased family member, gaining the resolve to fight in the process. As a bonus, both Garnix and Bullton meet the same fate.
Episode 12: What Was I Entrusted With?
- At one point during the fight, Gagula does Godzilla's infamous tail-sliding dropkick from Godzilla vs. Megalon.
- In Studio TRIGGER tradition, Production Foreshadowing for their next show can be seen by the presence of a Cyberpunk poster at the school festival, referencing the upcoming Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
