Mao Mao's Bike Adventure

• Badgerclops is seen playing an Expy of a Nintendo Switch.
• Blue resembles another blue dog.

Bao Bao's Revenge

• Mao Mao arms the Sweetiepies with simple wooden spears, Kurosawa-style.
• Mao Mao prepares for his "ultimate technique" (read: playing with Bao Bao) by powering up.

Outfoxed

• After the Sweetiepies turn on him, Mao Mao gets a folding chair thrown in his face, reminiscent of an infamous moment on Geraldo.
• "Is that a Nimblembo Twitch?"

Popularity Conquest

• During the "fashion show", Mao Mao is seen dressed up as Finn, to which Snugglemagne says "that's over!" Then, Mao Mao is dressed as Robin, prompting the king to say that he sees it all the time.
• The whole episode, including Mao Mao's new look, is a giant Take That! to Steven Universe.

Sick Mao

• To take down the Ice Dragon, Mao Mao channels his inner Domon Kasshu.
  "Take this! My germs, my viruses and ALL OF MY PATHOGENS!!"

Bobo Chan

• Adorabat swears that, if Bobo Chan is still alive, she will find her and she will squish her.
• Badgerclops decides to live with Bobo Chan in the wild with other monsters like Timothy Treadwell...and almost suffers his same fate.

The Legend of the Torbaclaun

• The entire episode references an infamous news moment in 2007 where an entire town in Alabama claimed to have seen a leprechaun.

Meet Tanya Keys

• The sound Tanya makes when transforming herself and other objects, appropriately, resembles a Tanooki Suit noise.
• After covering himself in mayonnaise, Pinky screams that he has "achieved (his) final form."

All By Mao Self

• With his muscular legs, Mao Mao kicks like Chun-Li.

Weapon Of Choice

• The Sheriff's Department ends up having to fight a giant burrowing worm.
• One of Mao Mao's sisters is gifted with "sight beyond sight."

The Truth Stinks

• Badgerclops arrives to fight the monster as he descends from the sky with an umbrella.

Trading Day

• Badgerclops looks back at the audience, laughing with Adorabat's face, Thriller-style.
• The title seems to be a shout-out to Training Day.
• Adorabat channels another bat-themed hero while trading places with Mao Mao, adding some cynical, Watchmen style commentary about her city. Or at least as cynical as her 5-year-old imagination would allow.
• Mao Mao, switching places with Badgerclops, gets a copy of his cybernetic arm. Now who else was a stubborn, volatile character with a red cape and robotic arm that gave him intense pain?

Head Chef

• Snugglemagne moans after falling down like he was just stomping grapes.
• Adorabat throws a spatula and it explodes on impact.

Captured Clops

• The Sky Pirates (somehow) manage to get by on imaginary food.

Flyaway

• Meditatin' Melvin powers up very much like another simian martial artist.

Sweet Berry Fever

• Mao Mao knocks out the monster with a single punch in his Golden Truth form.

Baost In Show

• The song and dance that plays during pet prom are almost identical to Don't Stop Me Now.
• Mao Mao escapes the guards by using his cape as a parachute.

Sleeper Sofa

• One of the electronic devices in Badgerclops' salvage hoard is a Guitar Hero peripheral.

Try Hard

• The entire episode is one big tribute to Die Hard.

Scared of Puppets

• Mr. Din Danalin is virtually identical to Howdy Doody.
• Mao Mao throws a punch after being startled by Adorabat and Badgerclops as they pop out of a dumpster.

Adoradad

• The Cave Monster looks like it could easily decapitate the Statue of Liberty.

Badgeafire Explosion

• The title is a reference to Showbiz Pizza's Rock-afire Explosion.
• Badgerclops' animatronics have the Sky Pirates stuffed inside them.
