Episode 1: A First Day of School

  • When Ms. Tsurusaki mentions what happened to the last new student that Erika scared off, the scene from Oliver & Company of Sykes getting hit by a train is used to represent it.
  • The exclamation mark from Metal Gear appears when Erika notices Tsubomi trying to sneak past the Fashion Club room.
  • “Get over here!” is heard when Erika pulls Tsubomi with her upon finding out they’re neighbors.

Episode 2: With Great Power

  • Michael Jackson songs are referenced thrice this episode.
  • When Erika is talking about who was in her dream of turning into a giant doll and getting beat up by a magical girl. Inexplicably, she claims Shredder was also there, but he’s just a regular customer of Kaoruko’s.
