Treasure Attic is a Direct-to-Video series produced in the 1980s. Starring Uncle Jim, his sheepdog Peepers, Bunny Bigword, and a few others, the series follows them in their different adventures, whether it's going to a farm, putting on a play or a movie, going around the world, or hosting sing-along specials.

A total of 29 episodes were produced.

Not to be confused with the Muppet Babies episode with the same name.

Treasure Attic provides examples of:

  • Catchphrase: Bunny Bigword's catch phrase is "*certain word that little kids wouldn't understand*, that's a big word!"
  • Changing Chorus: The song "Achoo, I've Got a Cold" has two choruses. The first one goes, "I remember when I washed my hair, then I went outside in the evening air. My daddy said, 'Your head is wet; don't go!' but now I've got a sniffy nose and a cold". The second one goes, "I remember it was yesterday when my mama said, 'John, put your jacket on!', but I was busy; didn't wanna stop, and now I've got a stuffy nose and a cough." After the instrumental break, both choruses are said in succession.
  • Crying Wolf: In "Happy and Healthy", Uncle Jim brings up a song about the Trope Namer story after he catches on Peepers pretending to be ill.
  • Dub Name Change: The series is called "El Desvan del Tio Ivan" (Uncle Ivan's Attic) in Spanish. In that same language, Peepers is named Ojitos (Little Eyes) and Bunny Bigword, "Conejin Palabrin" (Rabbit Word).
  • Every Episode Ending: Most of the episode end with Uncle Jim, Peepers, and Bunny saying goodbye to the audience.
  • No Fourth Wall: The main characters frequently talk to the audience at the beginning and the end of most of the episodes.
  • Shout-Out:
    • The director for the movie based on Bunny Bigword's book is named Stephanie Speelberger.
    • In "Fun on the Farm", the story of "Mrs. Farmer Friendly" is an adaptation of the story "The Little Red Hen".
  • Token Human: Although Uncle Jim isn't the only human seen in the series, he is the only human in the main cast.
