The Transmart is an Indonesian Work Com aired in Trans TV from 23 January 2016 to 19 March 2017. Set in the retail store and fellow Trans Corp subsidiary Transmart, the series shows the typical days of its managers and staff. The cast includes store manager Arya (Reza Nangin), his boss and ex Kalina (Rianti Cartwright), cashier Luvita (Amanda Rigby), announcer Cessa (Mayang Yudittia), security guard Tebas (Said Ali), and cleaning service Mamet (Bacun Hakim).

The Transmart contains examples of:

  • Ambiguous Syntax: Cessa tends to be the one misunderstanding sentences with these, such as telling her father "yes or whatever, don't make a big deal out of it!" when Arya meant she should say "yes" or whatever Cessa wants.
  • Back for the Finale: The two episodes of the last week use the longest-running cast (Arya, Kalina, Mamet, Tebas, Cessa, Luvita, and Reno) instead of the latest one, resulting in this for the characters who have left (Kalina, Mamet, Cessa, and Reno).
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: A misunderstanding in the 17 August episode causes Cessa to dress up like Arya and even mimics all of his catchphrases.
  • Butt-Monkey: The show loves putting its characters in misery for laughs, but the most frequent target is Mamet, Arya, and Cimol.
  • Catchphrase:
    • Because of his staff's frequent antics, Arya ends up often saying "You're embarassing me!"
    • Mamet often says "Uwaw!" to express happiness.
  • Criminal Amnesiac: When Mamet forgets who he is during a Vacation Episode in Bali, a local pickpocket tells him that he is a fellow pickpocket so that Mamet would spend the episode trying to be a pickpocket (emphasis on "trying").
  • Crying Wolf: In one episode, Arya pretends to have cancer to prepare to be an actor, tricking everybody until near the end of the episode. When everybody finds out, nobody believes Arya (or just doesn't care) when Arya gets an actual stomachache and they all leave him alone.
  • Easy Amnesia: Subverted. Mamet forgets who he is after falling down the stairs in one of the Bali episodes. At the end of the episode, Ella decides to push Mamet down the stairs again, assuming this will bring his memory back. Instead, it causes Mamet to forget his species and he starts behaving like a primal ape.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Arya's mom nicknames him "Yaya", which he dislikes and everybody makes fun of because it sounds girlish.
  • Holiday Episode: There is an episode dedicated around celebrating Independence Day (17 August).
  • Hypocritical Humor: In "Road to HUT Transmedia", Arya tells the rest of the group to not overreact when watching Rumpi live. The moment the host Feni Rose shows up, Arya starts screaming and tries to approach her, to the point he has to be escorted out by the security.
  • Laugh Track: Used at every single punchline.
  • Put on a Bus: In their respective last episodes, Nadila goes insane while Mamet loses memory of his humanity, giving them a reason to not be seen again from the next episode onwards.
  • Sitcom Character Archetypes:
    • The Bully is Tebas, who spends a lot of his screentime just being mean to Mamet.
    • The Goofball is originally Cessa The Ditz. After Cessa left, Ella fills the role although in a more Womanchild way.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute:
    • After Cessa gets the Chuck Cunningham Syndrome, the show introduces Ella who quickly fills the dumb-staff niche in the cast.
    • An intern named Cimol is introduced after Mamet exits the show. Soon, it becomes clear that Cimol's real job in the show is to be disrespected and to receive physical humiliation exactly like Mamet.
  • Replaced the Theme Tune: Abdul and the Coffee Theory's "Bahagia Itu Sederhana" replaced with GAC's "Bahagia".
  • Three-Wall Set: The manager and break rooms, being built rather than an actual room of a Transmart, are always seen from one side, with the door on the left.
  • Truncated Theme Tune: Over the time, the show cuts the opening credits and goes straight to the title card, cutting the theme tune in process.
  • Vacation Episode: From December 2016 to February 2017, the show eschewed the retail store setting and had multiple episode set in various vacation spots outside Jakarta, such as Bali, Bandung, and Yogyakarta.
  • We Do Not Know Each Other: Played for Laughs in "Road to HUT Transmedia", where Luvita and Cessa enter a casting together, but after Cessa ruins it by getting too in character and yelling at the casting director, Luvita gets embarrassed and claims that she has just met Cessa in the casting room.
