An NBC music Variety Show, which was created and executive produced by Burt Sugarman and was produced by his eponymous production company, Burt Sugarman Productions, and which ran from 1973 to 1981. It was one of the very first shows to break past the average 1AM sign-off time, as well as one of the very first to eschew lip-synching in favor of straight-up live performances. The show primarily consisted of live musical acts from popular performers, with the occasional dip into archival concert footage and comedy performances.
