Fox Reality Show carrying on American Idol's legacy of music competitions, and to fill a gap left by a Channel Hop to ABC. In short, at the beginning of each season, The Four initial hopefuls make their entrance, and from then until the finale, challengers try to appease the panel, and if they win them over, they choose a member of The Four to compete against, and if they win then, they steal the member's seat. But if the member wins, they win their seat back. Either way, the seat is locked until the next week.
Although they technically have the same name, it is not to be confused with The Four... Which also doubles as an example page.
