Sofia: Day And Night (original title: София: Ден и нощ) is a Bulgarian Roommate Com TV series.
Raya, a young dancer from the town of Lom, receives an invitation to move to Sofia to live together with her ex-boyfriend, Danny. Little does she know that he shares a flat with 6 other young people and that her life coming to the big capital city won't be the straightforward hero's journey she has imagined.
Tropes:
- Adopted to the House: There's constantly someone who gets invited over to stay by someone inside the house. It's never just for a day or two. Usually that involves talking to the landlord and a vote by the current tenants. That's not always the case though, which then results into pissing Bobby off.
- Local Hangout: Several over the course of the 500+ episodes so far:
- The flat itself
- A fancy bar downtown where Ina and Mario work
- A night club which becomes the workplace for Mario, Stella and other characters
- A hostel Bobby takes ownership of
- Quirky Household: The series kicked off with Bobby (the landlord), Danny, Raya and six other people sharing a flat. People come and go, stay over, get voted in or out, and every visitor from a more "normal" household comments on how weird this all is.
