Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? ("What Name Shall I Give This Love?") is an Indian Soap Opera which premiered on June 6th, 2012 about a pair of Star-Crossed Lovers who love to hate each other.

Arnav Singh Raizada (Barun Sobti) and Khushi Kumari Gupta (Sanaya Irani) have completely opposite views on life, love and marriage and regularly clash with each other.

The show ran from 2012 to 2013. It got a sequel series called Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? ...Ek Baar Phir, which ran from 2013 to 2015. This was followed by a third series simply titled Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? 3, which aired in 2017.

    • Mami and Mamaji.

  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Aman has yet to appear on the show. Despite appearing to be Arnav's right hand man, he is never actually seen, even when the scene takes place at AR.
  • I Have This Friend...: Khushi uses this trope when she talks to Payal and Shyam when she feels unsettled after seeing Arnav and Lavanya hug.
  • Improbable Age: Arnav despite being only 26 (as stated by Naniji) has an MBA from Harvard as well as an established flourishing Fashion Chain which he built all by himself.
  • Instant Expert: Despite showing no sign of car knowledge when the tyre punctured during their trip to Nainital, Khushi is suddenly an expert on changing tyres when she takes the air out of Arnav's tyre herself.
  • Interrupted Intimacy: And how! Most notably on Diwali when Arnav and Khushi almost kiss but are interrupted by Arnav's ringing phone.

    • Lavanya was put on a plane to England after she broke up with Arnav.
    • NK leaves the show abruptly after Arnav and Khushi's wedding. His absence is explained by Mamiji who says he went to visit friends.

    • Arnav and Khushi were absent for an episode due to Sanaya and Barun both taking a holiday at the same time.
    • NK was written out of the show due to his actor Karan Goddwani picking up a new show as main lead.
    • Arnav was kidnapped in the show to allow Barun time off to shoot his movie.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Arnav when he beats up the man who pushed Khushi at the Dhabba.
  • Sleep Cute: Khushi and Arnav sleeping on the recliner together after their 'honeymoon'.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Everybody knows about Khushi's love for jalebis.
  • Whole Episode Flashback: Arnav and Khushi's wedding was revealed to the family and the audience in this way.
  • Yes-Man: Aman is this for Arnav.
