Go To

Akiyama Kanon is a young woman trying to live after an incident of arson took her parents away from her. Her brother was arrested as the main suspect of the fire, but still she believes unwaveringly in his innocence and visits him whenever she can. However, no matter how hard she tries, her past continues to haunt her; the people of her town shun her and whenever an employer learns of her background she gets let go. In a last effort to lead a normal life, Kanon moves to the city, and when she meets Nagasaki Junya she begins to wonder if she may have a chance at happiness after all.

  • Berserk Button: Don't even look at Kanon funny, or Yoji will hurt you
  • Mercy Killing: Attempted, partly for Kiyoka, but mostly so Junya could move on with his life
  • Murder by Mistake There is a good chance Yoji intended to kill, or at least wound, his father, but he hadn't meant to stab his mother
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Junya saves Kiyoka's life, but ends up turning himself into a virtual vegetable in the process
  • The Resenter: Mizuki hates that everyone gets more of Junya's attention
