BTN (standing for Behind The News) is a long running Australian children's news show for over 50 years. Originally known as "Current Affairs" in 1968, the name was changed within a year to its current name.

The shows featured 3 minute reports on notable events of the past week (hence the first segment usually being "The Week In News"), sport events, single-question quizzes (20 if it's a special episode), and events from local kids that were notable enough to put into the show.

BTN provides examples of:

  • Voiceover Translation: If a kid speaks in a different language, they will do this with a female voice but a second late and with generic and inaccurate translation.
    • Also done with reports about kids who can't speak, using their choice of TTS voices (although one report uses subtitles).
