A Passion for Revenge (or Land of Honor as alternate name) known as Tierra de reyes in Spanish, is an American Telenovela premiered on Telemundo on December 2, 2014, and concluded on July 27, 2015. The telenovela created by the Venezuelan author Rossana Negrín, and is a remake on the Colombian-American drama written by Julio Jiménez, entitled Pasión de gavilanes. Produced by Telemundo Studios, and distributed by Telemundo Internacional.

It stars Aarón Díaz, Gonzalo García Vivanco and Christian de la Campa as the Gallardos brothers, and Ana Lorena Sánchez, Kimberly Dos Ramos and Scarlet Gruber as the Del Juncos sisters, along to Sonya Smith and Fabián Ríos.

The story tells the tale of the humble and hardworking Gallardo brothers' quest for vengeance against the wealthy and powerful Del Junco family. When the body of young, beautiful, and pregnant Alma Gallardo is found in the Houston River, her brothers Arturo, Samuel, and Flavio believe the family of her lover Ignacio del Junco is to blame. Taking the last name "Rey" to disguise their identity, the brothers begin to work as laborers at the sprawling Del Junco horse ranch to get closer to their enemy. With Ignacio already dead and learning how their beloved sister was mistreated by Ignacio's family, the brothers set out for revenge against Ignacio's widow, Cayetana, and her daughters Sofía, Irina, and Andrea. Their desire for vengeance and justice becomes more complicated when the Gallardo brothers and the Del Junco sisters begin to develop genuine feelings for each other. Complicating matters further is Sofía's scheming, opportunist husband and an arms smuggler who will stop at nothing to have the Del Junco ranch. The truth about the identity of the brothers becomes known to the Del Junco family and Cayetana develops hatred towards the Gallardo brothers. Matters worsen when Cayetana learns that Arturo is the one responsible for Sofia's pregnancy and becomes determined to see the brothers' downfall.

Tropes in A Passion for Revenge:

• Action Dad: Jose Antonio as a police officer and Emilio as a weapon dealer. Don't forget Action Hero Arturo who became a parent with Sofia.
• Action Girl: Only gun-wielding ones. Andrea who is the most battle-ready of the Del Junco women, haves her moments . Isadora too but is a villainous example.
• Accidental Pervert: Arturo's attraction for Isadora begins when he accidentally walks on her dropping her Modesty Towel as she's getting changed after showering.
• Adaptational Attractiveness: Applies to a lot of the cast, but most obviously to Cayetana and Ignacio, who are much younger and attractive in this version of the story.
• Adaptation Dye-Job: In the original story Sofia's character (Norma) is blonde while Irina's character (Jimena) is a brunette.
• Adaptational Name Change: In the original, the brothers family Reyes and the sisters are the Elizondo. Here the brothers are the Gallardo and the sisters the Del Junco. Interestingly, the brother's middle name is Rey. All their first names changed too (Juan changed to Arturo, Norma changed to Sofia, Oscar changed to Flavio, Jimena changed to Irina, Franco changed to Samuel and Sarita changed to Andrea)
• Adaptational Nice Guy: While Cayetana is still an antagonist for most of the story, some of her more vile actions are played down, such as when she discovers Samuel and Andrea together, in the original she punishes by whipping her back while in this version Andrea's back injuries are caused by an accident when Cayetana pushes her in anger.
• Alpha Bitch: Patricia acts like one in the nightclub, being the top girl with Candela as her Innocent Beta Bitch.
• Amazon Chaser: Mens who are attracted by Andrea and Isadora haves almost all shades of this lampshading at least once their strong personality and/or their prowess with firearms.
• Arms Dealer: Emilio's nightclub is merely a front for his gun trafficking business, of which both Ulises and Isadora are part of.
• Arch-Enemy: Many examples:
  • Arturo and Leonardo
  • Arturo and Isadora
  • Cayetana and the Gallardo brothers especially Arturo (yes, again)
  • Samuel and Andrea are a subverted example. They hide their feelings for each other by acting like this.
  • Leonardo and Emilio despite be the main two Big Bad.
  • Sofia and Isadora
  • Samuel and Ulises
  • Andrea and Patricia
  • Jose Antonio and Emilio
• Awful Wedded Life: Ignacio and Cayetana had this, although she tries her best to pretend otherwise to keep up appearances even after she finds out he cheated on her.
• Battle Couple: Downplayed with slight examples. Samuel and Andrea are a pre-couple variation during episode 113 with a Guys Smash, Girls Shoot dynamic and shown a good teamwork . Leonardo and Isadora as well when they shooting in the direction of the police. The "couple" part is more complicated.
• Badass in Distress: All of the Gallardo brothers haves their moments especially Arturo and Samuel. Andrea , Leonardo , Ulises and Isadora as well. All of them try or even succeed to escape them or fight back. Jose Antonio too was in distress during 10 years.
• Bad Boss: Cayetana is not kind with her employers and humiliates them often, especially Soledad.
• Belligerent Sexual Tension:
  • Arguably the novela's best example is Samuel Gallardo and Andrea Del Junco. They clearly have a lot of sexual tension/attraction with deep romantic feelings between them. But due to her pride and prejudices (towards low-class people like Samuel) and his blindness and possibly his insecurity, they don't admit their feelings. Ironically Everyone Can See It, even their respective former Love Interest (who often act jealous about it). They have a cat and mouse dynamic and are often arguing in their interactions. Special notes: Samuel often stares at her lips and Andrea often accuses him to trying to seduce her. They only get together after a couple of hundred of episodes. Even after becoming an Official Couple, they still have their bickerings but nothing conflictual.
  • More subtly but there is Andrea and Flavio too. Despite her dislike for him, she is attracted by him finding him "very handsome" and he never really hide his little attraction for her. They even flirted a bit at the beginning. But the moment revealing this trope is at the hospital in 42nd episode. They exchange an intense look during a tumultuous argument.
  • Arturo and Sofia during a short time in the beginning but they quickly fall in Unresolved Sexual Tension until they finally get together.
  • Cayetana and Nestor as well. They argue a lot but are clearly attracted by each other.
  • Arturo and Isadora too. It's really obvious in episodes 124 and 125.
• Beta Couple: Flavio/Irina and Samuel/Andrea couples are this for Arturo and Sofia.
• Betty and Veronica: The novela gives several examples: Arturo(Betty)/Sofia(Archie)/Leonardo(Veronica), Sofia(Betty)/Arturo(Veronica), Sofia(Betty)/Arturo (Archie)/Isadora(Veronica), Samuel(Betty)/Andrea(Archie)/Horacio(Veronica) , Patricia(Betty)/Samuel(Archie)/Andrea(Veronica) with a Betty and Veronica Switch , Beatriz(Betty)/Samuel(Archie)/Patricia or Andrea(Veronica), Samuel(Betty)/Patricia(Archie)/Ulises(Veronica), Cayetana(Betty)/Leonardo(Archie)/Isadora(Veronica), Rocio(Betty)/Pablo(Archie)/Veronica(Veronica) who trade places after, and Nestor(Betty)/Cayetana(Archie)/Leonardo(Veronica).
• Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Played With, Patricia uses makeup to cover the abuse she suffers from Emilio and Ulises. Played Straight in the finale, where she gets shot in the stomach, but in a few weeks later is seen doing her dance routine looking none worse for the wear.
• Bickering Couple, Peaceful Couple: Well there is some examples:
  • The most prominent one is Samuel/Andrea duo is the most bickering out all of this pre-Official Couple status while Sofia/Arturo and Flavio/Irina being both a peaceful Official Couple. Became subverted with Samuel and Andrea post-Official Couple status.
  • When both Arturo/Sofia and Flavio/Irina couples begin to live in the Gallardo's appartment Flavio and Irina had some conflicts between them mostly due to Irina's jealousy and insecurity while Arturo and Sofia were more peaceful being in their baby waiting storyline.
• My Beloved Smother: Cayetana is as much an antagonist to her daughters than to the Gallardo brothers. She's very controlling of their lives and is especially furious once they decide to romance the Gallardo brothers.
• Big Bad Duumvirate: Leonardo and Emilio share the spot of main antagonists of the show, working together to try to steal the Del Junco fortune. But Leonardo is The Heavy due to having more screentime and a more personal grudge against the main characters.
• Brainy Brunette: Sofia and Andrea are both smart, clever and brunetes, in comparison to their Dumb Blonde sister Irina.
• Brutal Honesty: Don Felipe is never afraid of speaking his mind, like saying he thinks Leonardo is an evil bastard to his face and criticizing Cayetana behavior no matter who's around.
• Catfight: Or "Slapfight". Andrea (and Irina) vs Patricia, Irina vs Veronica and Patricia vs Candela. To a lesser extent, Isadora vs Sofia and Andrea vs Patricia (second time).
• Cattle Baron: Cayetana's one of the biggest Rancher in the region, which is why Emilio and Leonardo want to marry her.
• Character Development: To give some examples:
  • Sofia starts as a woman constantly persecuted by her husband to a woman more assertive and courageous able to stand for herself
  • Samuel was at first timid and naive being as well as a poor worker who is romantically blind.As the show continues, he became more confident and careful men who has a Rags to Riches status and able to see people's true self better.
  • Out the six main characters is probably Andrea who changed the most. Starts as a cold and emotionally censored Rich Bitch looking down poor people by pride and prejudice and thinking her mother has always right. After many episodes, she became kinder and softer as well as more supportive towards her sisters but more conscious about her mother's actions, allowing herself to fall in love and be happy.
• Cynicism Catalyst: Alma's death is what drove the Gallardo brothers into swearing revenge against the Del Junco's.
• Dating What Daddy Hates: All three of Cayetana's daughters end up falling for the Gallardo family, whom she loathes. Veronica also falls for the poor but hardworking Pablo, much to her mother Miranda's displeasure.
• The Diva: Patricia's the main singer and attraction in the El Palenque night club. Ulises has Candela take her top spot for a time, as punishment for Patricia's relationship with Samuel, which makes Patricia very jealous.
• The Dreaded: Emilio is this as a powerful businessman and a hidden leader of gun dealers group. As the current head of one of most powerful families of Houston and an Evil Matriarch, Cayetana's definitely this.
• Erotic Dream: At one point the UST between Andrea and Samuel become big enough that she starts having dreams where they're making love.
• Evil Counterpart:
  • Andrea and Isadora which combines with a Foil dynamic. They're the most action-oriented female characters of the show. Both are Iron Lady and fall in love with a Gallardo Brother but if Andrea is an Ice Queen who became nicer, Isadora is a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who became totally Yandere. We can say Isadora is the "road not taken" version of Andrea.
  • Arturo and Leonardo. Leonardo is the abusive ex-husband of Sofia who was married with her only for her family's fortune while Arturo is a good and caring lover for her.
  • Jose Antonio and Emilio. If Emilio was of an Abusive Parent who bullied and molded her daughter, Jose Antonio was a good parent for his children and thanks to him, the Gallardo became brave and noble men.
  • Samuel and Ulises. Both dated Patricia and have a relationship with her but Samuel treated her well while Ulises treated her like an object for providing money (at first).
  • Cayetana/Miranda and Soledad. Cayetana and Miranda are Abusive Parents while Soledad is a caring Team Mom.
• Everyone Can See It: Generally people can feel easily and lampshade feelings in each Gallardo-Del Junco couple mostly the secret romance and/or the UST between Arturo and Sofia and the BST between Samuel and Andrea (mostly on Andrea's side).
• Evil Redhead: Villainous Isadora's most distinguishing figure is her long red hair.
• Foil: The show have many examples of this trope:
  • Ignacio and Jose Antonio. Both are father of one of two protagonist siblings trios ( Ignacio for the Del Junco sisters and Jose Antonio for the Gallardo brothers). They are Papa Wolf when their childs (even adults) are concerned and were or are absent of their lives.
  • Arturo and Sofia. Both are the eldest and wisest of their respective siblings. They are animal lovers ( Arturo is a Nature Hero and Sofia a Kindly Vet). They both lost a sibling (Alma for Arturo and an unborned elder brother for Sofia) and a parent (Aturo's mother and Sofia's father). Both have the sense of justice.
  • Flavio and Andrea. Both are the middle sibling and the coldest and most calculator of their respective siblings. They are Hot-Blooded and their personality fits with their physical (Tall, Dark, and Handsome for Flavio and Aloof Dark-Haired Girl for Andrea). If Flavio shown to be the one who most revenge against the Del Junco family, Andrea was the most suspicious of the sisters towards the Gallardo brothers.
  • Flavio and Irina. Both are the most jealous of their respective trio such as The Id. They enjoy life and party and they are respectively Chick Magnet and Dude Magnet and they know it. And both work as model during the story.
  • Arturo and Andrea. Both are the resident badass of their respective trios as the strongest and bravest. They are hard-working and are more focus in the work than romance or social life. Both saved a Gallardo sibling (Arturo saved his half-sister and Andrea saved her Love Interest Samuel). Also both are The Superego.
  • Samuel and Sofia. Both are the nicest of their respective trio and the mediator as The Ego . Both suffered in love and had already married once time before being married with the love of their life.
  • Irina and Patricia. Both are Proud Beauty and have a lustful and jealous nature. Both were attracted by Samuel's good nature and they are Dude Magnet.
  • Andrea and Isadora. See Evil Counterpart.
  • Leonardo and Emilio. The main male vilains of the novela. Both want Cayetana's ranch and fortune. They both are psychologically abusive with women and competent schemers.
  • Cayetana and Emilio. Both are Abusive Parents with their repective daughters. They're among the most powerful and feared persons of Houston. Both had a reason to destroy the Gallardo brothers.
• Fire and Ice Love Triangle: Hot-blooded Arturo is the fire to the cold Leonardo's ice for Sofia. As well aloof Andrea is the ice to the music lover Patricia's fire and to the sunny Beatriz's fire for Samuel.
• Friend on the Force: Police Captain Nestor is an old friend of the Gallardo family and investigates Alma's death on their behalf.
• Frame-Up: Leonardo tries to pin the blame on the money he's been stealing from the ranch on Ignacio, making it look like he was going to run away with Alma and leave his family penniless.
• Gay Best Friend: Dario, Miranda's Camp Gay nephew is quick to befriend Irina and they quickly become best friends.
• Generation Xerox:
  • Among the Gallardo family:
    • All of the brothers has inherited of bravery, nobility and sense of justice of their father.
  • Among the Del Junco Belmonte family, each sister is similar to an older member:
    • Sofia has the sense of justice of their father.
    • Andrea has the coldness and arrogance of their mother.
    • Irina has the joy of life like their grandfather.
  • And Arturo Gallardo Junior appears to have the love of horses like his parents.
• Gold Digger:
  • Leonardo married with Sofia and later Cayetana to try to get his hands on their fortune.
  • Patricia ultimately chooses to be with Ulises over Samuel because of his money. Ironically Samuel gets rich soon after she dumps him.
• Green-Eyed Monster: Almost everyone has their moments but the most obvious example is Ulises Matamoros. He was extremely jealous of Samuel at point to want kill him many times for his romance with Patricia. Ironically his deep jealousy lead him to death.
  • For another examples, Patricia who was terribly jealous of women who get close of Samuel, especially Andrea. She always suspected there have something between us ( she didn't wrong). Became this with Ulises too. Irina is the biggest one. She was venomously jealous of Veronica and tends to be paronoïac .
• The Gunslinger: Several characters like Andrea and Leonardo who show to train their aim often at outside of the Del Junco house.
• Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: The men usually resort to Good Old Fisticuffs in their action scenes, while Andrea and Isadora are skilled gunslingers.
• Hair-Contrast Duo: Two of the Del Junco sisters Irina and Andrea. Irina is most of the time a living example Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold while Andrea is an Aloof Dark-Haired Girl.
• Handicapped Badass: Don Felipe, Cayetana's father who is a crippled army veteran stuck on a wheelchair. When Leonardo tries to Kick the Dog on him he's surprised by Felipe pulling a gun on him. On the series finale, Felipe almost ends up killing Leonardo.
• Hate Sink: Emilio and Leonardo don't have any redeeming qualities. Emilio is a ruthless and violent Arms Dealer and Leonardo is a manipulative and scheming parasite for the Del Junco family and a serial rapist to boot.
• The Heart: Don Felipe serves as this for the Del Junco family, usually being a voice of conscience that as even Cayetana listens to. Leonardo notices it, and tries to get rid of him over it.
• He-Man Woman Hater: Emilio very misogynistic and doesn't think women as anything but sex objects, which is why he sees his daughter Isadora as an Inadequate Inheritor to his empire.
• Horrible Judge of Character: Andrea has a high opinion of both Leonardo and Cayetana for most of the story, while despising the Gallardo brothers. She does eventually catch on to their true characters, with Cayetana becoming a Broken Pedestal for her.
• Hot Men at Work: While Sofia and Andrea are both suspicious of the Gallardo brothers when they first show, Irina is more than happy with having more hot men working around the ranch. And indeed there's a lot of Female Gaze shots of the brothers working on the house while shirtless and sweaty.
• Identical Stranger Veronica, looks exactly like Alma. To the point the brothers think it is her for a while. She is even played by the same actress. She's later revealed to be the Gallardo's half-sister, making this a case of Uncanny Family Resemblance.
• Imaginary Love Triangle: Both Irina and Pablo think they are each in one with Flavio and Veronica (who have a brother-sister relationship) for a time.
• Innocent Beta Bitch: Candela is a nice Number Two for Alpha Bitch Patricia in Palenque.
• Interrupted Bath: In episode 46, Leonardo tries to intimidate Sofia by invading the bathroom while she's in the bathtub.
• Kindly Housekeeper: Soledad for the Del Junco ranch, Ignacio says she was a better mother figure for his daughters than Cayetana herself.
• Kindly Vet: Nice Girl Sofia works as the ranch's veterinarian.
• Lie Back and Think of England: After Patricia falls in love and starts a relationship with Samuel, she's still forced to sleep with Ulises as part of her job in El Palenque. Her frigid attitude during Sex is what clues Ulises in that she has fallen in love with someone.
• Light Feminine Dark Feminine: Sofia and Irina are the light to Aloof Dark-Haired Girl Andrea's dark (often called witch). Candela's the light to Proud Beauty Patricia's dark . Devilish Isadora is the dark to Angelic Beauty Alma and her cousin Linda who are the light. And Beatriz and Soledad are the light to Evil Matriarch Cayetana's dark.
• Like Brother and Sister:
  • Veronica haves this with Gallardo brothers and often lampshading that. Played straight, after all Veronica is their half-sister.
  • Pablo too has this dynamic with Del Junco sisters averted at first with Irina (who had a crush on him).
• Locked in a Freezer: Andrea and Flavio get locked in one, which causes her to have a panic attack.
• Love at First Sight: Arturo and Sofia become attracted with each other right from the first time they met. Subverted with the other 2 couples, who initially disliked each other.
• Love Triangle: Most of them are a Betty and Veronica situation (see the trope) but the story shows several "Love Squares":
  • The Isadora/Arturo/Sofia/Leonardo love square during near all the totality of the story.
  • Isadora/Leonardo/Cayetana/Emilio too but very more complicated due to the relationship between them (Isadora being involved with her father who wants her "rival" in love of Leonardo who is her son-in-law).
  • Have Horacio/Andrea/Samuel/Patricia because both of tips know that Andrea and Samuel are attracted to each other despite their arguments and denials. Ulises (is also in a Love Triangle with Patricia and Samuel) can takes Horacio's place.
  • More subdued but Flavio, Irina, Samuel and Andrea can count at the beginning. Flavio seems attracted by Andrea and also Irina who seems attracted by Flavio and Samuel when him and Andrea have BST. Interestingly the Flavio/Irina couple was more attracted by Andrea and Samuel respectively at first.
• Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Tomboy Andrea and flamboyant Dario have this dynamic.
• May–December Romance: Alma and Ignacio were in love despite their big age difference. Both sides of their families didn't approve of their romance due to it.
• Marital Rape License: Leonardo tries to force himself on Sofia when she refuses to perform her wifely duties, going so far as drugging her to get her to sleep with him.
• The Medic: Although she's a Veterinarian, Sofia usually provides medical attention to other characters on when necessary.
• Modesty Bedsheet: Used frequently whenever couples are shown post-sex. Subverted a few times, when a couple's modesty is covered by their own bodies laying atop each other, usually with the girl on top proving Toplessness from the Back.
• Naked Freak-Out:
  • Patricia has a moment of this when Ulises walks on her topless in the nightclub's dressing room. He mocks her for covering herself, as he's seen her body many times before.
  • In episode 102, after Andrea's horse accident, she freaks out when she wakes up in Samuel's bed in only a skimpy robe and underwear and is livid at Samuel for supposedly undressing her. It was actually Soledad, but he has no time to explain it as she starts giving him an Unprovoked Pervert Payback.
• Naked People Trapped Outside: Once, after making love in the wild Irina stole the clothes from Flavio as revenge, forcing him to run back to his home with only some plants to cover himself. She repeated this prank later, this time leaving him naked on her spa.
• Never Suicide: Alma's body washes on the shore and the police initially assume it was a suicide, but the brother don't believe she would ever do that, especially since she was pregnant and begin investigating on their own. It's eventually revealed that she was murdered.
• Parental Favoritism: Sofia was Ignacio's favorite while Andrea was Cayetana's favorite. Which left poor Irina left out, becoming The Unfavorite. But she seems to be Felipe's favorite due to their similar personality.
• Power Trio: The protagonists are two trios of siblings, the Gallardo brothers and the Del Junco sisters.
• Plucky Girl: Several female characters are this such as the Del Junco sisters or Patricia and Candela.
• Promoted to Parent: Arturo had to take charge of his younger siblings after their parents were gone. Which is why he takes Alma dying under his watch as his My Greatest Failure.
• Opposites Attract: Subverted; well all the couples have the poor guys and rich girls contrast but Arturo and Sofia have a love for horses in common and Flavio and Irina both are impulsive in their decisions and enjoy life. Played straight with Samuel and Andrea who are really different;Samuel is a poor romantic and nice guy when Andrea is a rich cold and aloof girl before Character Development.
• Rasputinian Death: Leonardo dies by being beaten up by Arturo, shot in the back by Isadora, bitten by a poisonous snake and then swallowed into quicksand.
• Revenge by Proxy: Flavio's plan of getting Revenge on the Del Junco by seducing and marrying the daughters and stealing their money, despite knowing the sisters didn't have anything to do with Alma's death.
• Rich Bitch: The Del Junco sisters have shades of this at first, especially Andrea who looks down on the Gallardo brothers for being poor until Character Development kicks in. Cayetana and Miranda are straight examples.
• Rule of Three: Haves three men, three women so three couples and three romances.
• Sex Goddess: Patricia's sexual prowess is part of the reason she's so popular in El Palenque and why men like Ulise and Samuel are obsessed with her. She knows it too and is not above taunting Andrea about it later, claiming she ruined other women for Samuel, which actually makes Andrea feel insecure for a while.
• Sexual Karma: The good guys all have healthy passionate sex lives shot in an Idealized Sex fashion while a lot of the villains are either violent in bed or are rapists.
• Shower of Awkward: Early in the story, Flavio is tasked with fixing the Del Junco's bathtub, but ends up finding Irina sleeping in the tub covered in Censor Suds. When he tries to leave, he ends up tripping and hurting himself, causing her to stand up in worry and unintentionally giving him an eyeful.
• Slap-Slap-Kiss: Literally with Samuel and Andrea as part of their initial dynamic. Invoked and discussed on some occasion as for example it's actually the reason behind their first kiss.
• Sympathetic Adulterer: Ignacio cheated on Cayetana with Alma. His marriage with Cayetana had been a farce for years and he was planning to divorce her, before he died.
  • Also Sofia starting a romance with Arturo despite she was already legally married with Leonardo who try many times to abuse her.
• Team Mom: Soledad becomes a mother figure to both sibling Trios. Ignacio even tells her she did a better job raising the girls than Cayetana did.
• Three Minutes of Writhing: There are a lot of gratuitous scenes in El Palenque with Patricia, Candela and other Fanservice Extra doing this.
• Too Dumb to Live: Irina. Well, after find the good idea to be fakely wedded with her besr friend to stay with Flavio which caused a unwilling wedding with many tensions before and after because she realized she can go at her honeymoon with her fake fiancee (who accepted to have money), run away with Flavio and betraying at time Dario and her family. Without mentionned she tried run away before the day one...
• Took a Level in Badass: A few of characters fit the trope:
  • Samuel who started as a naive shy man and much more self-confident after Patricia's betrayal.
  • Soledad was a poor submissive and mistreated employee and after over a hundred episodes, she becomes braver and begins to talk back to Cayetana and Miranda.
  • Zig-zagged with Sofia, her relationship with Arturo made her more assertive and allows her to defend her feelings for Arturo. But despite her newfound courage, she's still frail and easy to break mentally by Leonardo. So for her case is an on-off example.
• Tomboy and Girly Girl: Andrea is the tomboy for every other female character but mostly to contrast:
  • in a sibling side with Sofia and Irina's Girly Girl
  • in a parent side to Cayetana's Girly Girl (more a Proper Lady)
  • and in a rival variation to Patricia's Girly Girl.
• Toplessness from the Back:
  • Arturo gets a view of Isadora's naked back when he walks on her changing.
  • Patricia is usually shown like this while changing clothes in the nightclub's dressing room.
  • A Fan Disservice moment happens with Andrea, after she gets pushed by Cayetana and receives a nasty back wound, she shown topless from the back to show the scar.
• Undressing the Unconscious: While arguing with Samuel, Andrea accidentally falls off her horse and bumps her head, passing out and is taken by Samuel back to his room. While she's out, she has an Erotic Dream about him and wakes up in a rush and is mortified to find herself in his bed in only her underwear and is thoroughly peeved at Samuel for supposedly undressing her. It was actually Soledad who undressed her and he just came in to check on her, but he has no time to explain it as she starts throwing things at him.
• Unequal Pairing:
  • The romance between the poor Gallardo brothers and the rich Del Junco sisters. This is especially a big issue to Andrea who refuses to admit her attraction to Samuel due to being a ranch worker. It causes a lot of Angst to her later, as she deeply regrets the way she treated him.
  • This is also the case with the romance between Alma and Ignacio as well as Veronica and Pablo.
• The Unfavorite: Irina is seen as shameful by Cayetana due to her Hard-Drinking Party Girl lifestyle and promiscuity.
• Unresolved Sexual Tension: All of three main couples at some point or not was this but each couple resolves this later. Patricia/Ulises,Pablo/Veronica and Cayetana/Nestor have their moments too.
• Villainesses Want Heroes: Isadora falls madly in love with Arturo, to the point she becomes a Yandere for him later, kidnapping and torturing him into loving her.
• Will They or Won't They?: The three main couples during the show mainly due to drama, family story and prejudices. Ulises/Patricia , Pablo/Veronica as well. They all eventually get together at differents times.
• Yandere: Isadora is driven mad by her love for Arturo, to the point she plots Sofia's death several times and also kidnaps him.
• What Did I Do Last Night?: Andrea freaks out after she wakes up snuggling up to Samuel in her underwear, after they both got drunk in the previous evening.
