Somebody's on the naughty list this year...

How the Tiny Toons Saved Christmas is a fan made webcomic based on the 90s Warner Bros Cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures and was uploaded page after page from December 10th to December 25th 2019.

Written by Danny Palin and illustrated by Andrea Boscolo, it’s a short comic which explains how the Tiny Toons saved Christmas.

A sequel Claus for Alarm was made in 2023.

On Christmas Eve, Babs Bunny mistakes what appears to be Santa Claus as an intruder and knocks him out. With no-one to deliver the presents, Babs decides to take matters into her own hands and, alongside Buster Bunny, Fifi La Fume and Hamton J Pig, she commandeers Santa's sleigh to bring Christmas to everyone...at least in Acme Acres.

The comic can be read here.

Contains examples of:

  • Berserk Button: Babs doesn't take it well when Buster names her Barbara Anne.
  • Big Eater: Hamton can only smell fruit cake while Babs voices her excitement about how she can almost smell this year's Christmas being something special. He also seems excited about having to stuff himself with food.
  • Biting-the-Hand Humor: When Buster explains to Babs and Fifi that they have to be fat in order to be Santa, Hamton asks whether this means they will have to stuff their faces. Fifi looks visibly offended and Babs sardonically comments “This ain’t DeviantArt”. The comic is uploaded on that very website.
  • Broomstick Quarterstaff: When an intruder appears to have broken into the burrow, Hamton sneaks up on it with a broom.
  • Butt-Monkey: Plucky is forced to pull the sleigh, is constantly whipped by Buster, and is still working for Santa at the end of the comic.
  • The Cameo: It’s soon revealed that Babs didn’t knock out Santa, but Ralph the Guard who had been forced to deliver presents for Yakko, Wakko and Dot.
    • Tweety, in his original appearance as "Orson", appears on a cartoon of eggnog carried by Hamton.
    • During the montage, Marc Anthony falls to pieces from Fifi's stink whilst Pussyfoot plays with her tail.
    • The Pumpkin Guy, the parody of Jack Skellington, shows up dressed as Santa.
    • Mr Plotz, Dr Scratchansniff and Hello Nurse show up in a flashback when Ralph explains why he's dressed as Santa.
    • The Goodfeathers pull Ralph's sleigh again. Although we only see it commandeered by Santa.
  • Continuity Nod: Several.
    • Buster still has his water pistol he used to spray Babs.
    • When reading Santa's letter, Babs and Buster say “No relation” when their names are listed as “Babs and Buster Bunny”
    • Buster leaves Easter eggs instead of presents during the montage.
    • Taz disguises himself as Santa to eat rabbits...and appears to have succeeded this time.
    • Ralph is yet again roped into pretending to be Santa for the Warners.
  • Easter Egg: Eagle-eyed readers will see that characters such as Lil' Beeper are on Santa's naughty list.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Babs gets the idea to cover for Santa when she sees the Santa hat on Buster's head.
  • Funny Background Event: Throughout the comic, any scenes in Babs's burrow feature thousands of stockings adorning the walls. They clearly belong to her brothers and sisters.
    • Plucky loots Elmer Fudd's house.
  • Getting Crap Past the Radar: This discourse:
Buster: Well, you girls are covered. Where'd you get the sexy Santa getups?
    Babs: Ho, Ho, Ho!
    Hamton: Gettin' into character already?
Fifi: Non, zat's ze name of ze shop we bought zem from. Zey sell a lot of adult theengs.
  • Hard-Work Montage: Lampshaded by Fifi and enforced by Babs when Hamton points out that the comic might be too long.
  • Help, I'm Stuck!: Hamton briefly gets stuck headfirst in a chimney.
  • I Have Many Names: Fifi, Hamton and Buster refer to Santa as “Pére Noel”, “Pelznickel” and “Saint Nick” respectively. Babs doesn’t catch on until they yell his most popular moniker.
  • Inflating Body Gag: After the sleigh crashes, it’s revealed that the quartet's Santa suits have built in airbags which inflate to twice their normal size. They even fly around the room and become as flat as balloons when the air is let out.
  • Maniacal Laugh: Santa is shown to be capable of this.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: The whole plot kicks off because Babs knocked out Santa with an anvil.
  • Oh, Crap!: Buster, Fifi and Hamton have this reaction when they discover the identity of the intruder.
    • Babs also reacts this way when she sees the damage done by their rough landing in the sleigh.
  • Put on a Bus: Shirley the Loon is absent in this comic.
  • Sexy Santa Dress: Babs and Fifi wear these, and there's even a panel dedicated to them posing in them.
  • Shout-Out: Being a Tiny Toons comic, it's a given:
  • Smelly Skunk: Fifi is shown to use her tail as a gun both times. The first time when she sneaks up on the intruder and the second time when she threatens to use it against Ralph.
  • Spit Take: Babs does this with some wine left out for Santa.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike: Buster's method of making the reindeer move faster is to smack them with a whip. It’s later revealed that Santa does the same thing.
  • The Nose Knows: This is why Babs feels that this particular year's Christmas will be something special.
  • Under the Mistletoe: Fifi ties a string of mistletoe to her tail and eventually hangs it over someone’s front door.
  • Wham Shot: The panel in which it’s revealed that Santa fell victim to Babs's booby trap.
    • Also seen when it’s revealed that Buster, Babs, Hamton and Fifi somehow received presents despite Santa being knocked out. Leading into...
    • The revelation that it was Ralph.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Ralph disappears after Buster discovers the letter from Santa.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Buster is quick to criticize Babs for putting the Man in Red out of action.
