  • Backstory: Li Quan is from a small village near the river Chu, and has always had an instinct for adventure, let it be travelling through a mountain to visit her family or finding medicinal plants in the forest while trying not to be killed by lurking demons. And when her younger brother became old enough to gather medicinal plants, she decided to go to the City of Beginning, Thrawn, to become an adventurer and defeat evil, fight injustice and help the needed. As such, Malcolm was raised to fight against oppression and freedom, and be loud and proud about it. As such he is a hot-headed, politically minded individual. This possesses the occasional problem for him, as, in being a borrower, he stands at just about two inches tall. However, his tenacity and quick thinking have gotten him this far, and he’s not about to quit now.

  • Backstory: Born of "beings of the unseen world", Abbas lived a pleasant life in the "in-between" of mortal and Jīnn. Cherished by their parents and valued by their community, they never had to worry about things such as fear or deathly pain. However, they were soon ripped away from that world, by a treacherous daeva, who smited his kind and orphaned them, with the intention of teaching them and their kind "the sadness of the lost". However, before the daeva could end his life, they would bind their soul to itinerant Persian Pashtun man travelling the realms in search of a enlightenment that would relate him to the great Zoroaster. Similarly confused by each other's existence, they decide to stay together until the daeva disappeared, but then stayed together once they realized that they would both be led adrift by their own solitary visions if they were to depart from each other. Since then, one cannot be seen without the other and both are willing to die for one another.

  • Backstory: Snowpaw comes from Ursinberg, a small village in Grim Up North. She had always dreamed of joining the local viking clan, but on the day she was to be initiated into the clan, her village was ravaged by invaders from the south. After the ambush, Snowpaw was deemed the only one fit enough to leave the town. Her goal is to find out who sent the invading army so that the village can strike back when they recover, and she wants to start her search at Thrawn. Snowpaw's father Coldgale told her not to take on the army by herself... but she really wants to.

  • Backstory: Wire was built almost a century before the start of our adventure by the Wyvernfolk, a people born with exceptional innate magical talent. Locked in a tiresome war with a cell of elves hell-bent on harnessing their power, the Verns locked themselves behind a barrier that cut them off from the rest of known civilization. Wire, a field agent deployed on stealthy missions to undermine the enemy's magical reinforcements from the inside, had their connection with the runes keeping them active severed when the Verns isolated themselves, putting them into a sort of stasis until a hole opened, letting just enough energy through to return them to life. Reborn into a new world where the war they once knew is nowhere to be found, Wire walks the earth for a while, taking off jobs and keeping busy until entering a tavern on one fateful night...

  • Backstory: Fern was born as the only child from a rich family of scholars. Like their parents, Fern was always invested in academics but their true passion was alchemy. They loved mixing and matching ingredients to make a final product. Soon, Fern became the apprentice of Rean, a well known Alchemist and went to live in his shop, making potions that their customers asked for. While they were intelligent and knew about their herbs, their potions tend to have some rather unexpected side effects. One normal day, Fern and Rean got a seemingly impossible order; To make an Elixir of Youth. The pay was good because the ingredients were scarce and very rare, with little guarantee that the potion would actually work. After some long years of work, searching for ingredients and more work, Fern finally made the very first Elixir of Youth. They decided to test it on themselves and found that it worked...too well. In a puff of smoke, Fern had been turned into a child once again, with little to no chance of growing back. After years of looking for a cure, Fern heard of Thrawn and decided to head there to look for a cure.

  • Backstory: Born to a small family on a farm, Dylan was a proud member of the Order of Eimos, a group of healers and priests who worship the sky deity Miri-Miri. The Order handled all sorts of civilian matters, from daily religious sermons to festivals and funerals, in the peaceful village of Stonebridge. As a part of the Order, he took a vow to never use violence unless truly necessary. The peace wouldn't last, however. The Order was forced to split due to a supposed traitor in the ranks. Dylan himself set off to Thrawn to make "real" friends - ones who weren't in the order. He decided that he'd use his abilities for as good a purpose as possible. He's also superstitious, and seeks to find strange lands that were only rumoured to exist in myth and legend. These two factors gave birth to the "adventurer" chapter of his life.

Molzarr The Runt (Armored Fury)

You stretch your body as you walk out of your house. You see Gromzarr walking up to you.

"Hey, Mol." He greets you. "So, I guess today is the day, huh." He rubs the back of his head, before continuing."Look, I know the past few years haven't been exactly...great. With you and me taking different paths and all. And even if we have a lot of problems with each other, I just want you to know." Gromzarr puts both of his hands on your shoulder. "No matter what happens, you have a home, and a brother, here. Make our father proud, and may God bless you during your journey, always."

He turns around, then looks back at you. "Oh, and if you ever need your weapon's resharpened or anything like that, I can help with that too. Of course I need some materials beforehand. Once you are well prepared, make your way through the forest and to Thrawn."

Damon Vanleer(Immortalartisan)

As you walk out of your house, you see kids chasing each other and running by. "Hello Mr.Vanleer!" One of them says.

A woman that looks like she's in her late 30s approaches you. You recognized her as Bella, a fellow friendly villager whose also fairly close to you. "Ah, hello there Damon. You're up early today." She looks at your face for a second. "You're really heading for Thrawn? I would've guessed at your age that you settle down and take it easy, but who am I to judge an intellectual like you."

She pauses for a bit, before continuing. "Your work here has improved our lives greatly. It is time you take your talent and show it to the world. Once you said your goodbyes and all, head through the forest. There's quite some monsters there but I doubt its nothing you can't handle."

Lux Clucky (Afterwards)

You got out of bed pretty quickly. All that hard work and taking odd jobs over the years have built you both physically and mentally. You take a step out of your house and took a deep breath.

Meow.(Oi.)

You turn and look at your pet cat, Fluffles. You found him while digging through scraps a few years ago. Due to being part cat, you're the only one in the village that can understand him.

Meow meow? Meow meow meow meow. (So you're actually gonna do this, huh? Well, can't stop ya. I would come with ya, but I value my life too much."

He rolls over his belly. Meow. Meow meow meow.(Ya don't have to worry about me too much. I got all these villagers I can mooch off here. Ya'd be surprised how far ya can go with just being cute.)

"Meow meow. Meow meow, meow? (Its gonna be lonely here without ya. And hey, when ya came back here once in a while, get me some good cat treats and catnip for me, 'kay?)"

Fluffles then rubs his body against your legs. "Meow meow. Meow. Meow? Meow meow. (Tis' my parting gift. Try not too die too quickly. Ya know where to go right? Pass through the forest and ya should arrive in Thrawn in no time.)"

Mikolas Zalsi(unfortunatezorua)

It is time for you to begin your journey and leave the village. While you're not exactly close to anyone here, they had taken such a good care of you since the day you left your rich life that its a bit sad to leave them.

You see a pretty rugged boy almost your age coming towards you. "Oh Mikolai, good morning. How are you today?" You recognize this boy as Philip, your closest friend in this village and has been with you ever since you arrived here. "You're heading for Thrawn, right? Wow, I hope you'll make it big!" He pauses for a moment, then sighed to himself.

"You know, sometimes I wish I were in your place instead. I don't know why you would throw away your life as a noble and escaped here. I mean, I know you probably had a good reason and all, but I just don't get it sometimes. And also the fact that you're so good at magic and-" Philip stops muttering at himself and apologizes. "Ah, sorry for getting all rambly! I hope I didn't waste your time or anything! Anyway, good luck on your journey! You might have to fight a monster or two but it should be a piece of cake for you. And come visit us sometime, okay?"

"Sis, wake up! Wake up!" Your sister, Li He, shakes you. You got out of the bed, stretching your arms and yawning.

"Good morning, sunshine. Hope you slept well." You see your mom beside you, smiling. "I made you rice and egg for breakfast today." While it doesn't seem like much, its still pretty good and you quickly gobbled it down. "You've got to keep your energy up if you want to go to Thrawn." She rubs your hair and you gave her a slight smile. Your dad came into your room and hugs you tightly. "My girl's all grown up! I'm so proud!"

You woke up exactly at midnight and begin sneaking out of your village. You look around your surroundings. No one's awake, you breathe a sigh of relief. You start making your way out of the village and into the forest when you got spotted.

"T-Taeshi?! What are-" You recognized him as P'litha, a fellow lizardfolk. You know him as being shy and awkward, especially towards you. Also, apparently he's out patrolling the village tonight.

"Y-You're really going out tonight...?" He stammered and sighed.

"...Well, I-I doubt anything I say or do will make you change your mind. N-not to mention you're f-far stronger than me."

He sighed some more, before continuing."I'll just pretend I never see you here. I-I know I might get punished by the chief, b-but I'll be fine. I-if you're happy, I'm happy too." He puts his hand on your shoulder. "J-just, take good care of yourself, okay?"

Snowpaw Coldgalesdotter(Dr No Puma)

You walk out of your house... or what's left of it anyway. The attack from the southern invaders have left your village totally devastated. There are wounded everywhere. The houses are all mostly torn down and falling apart. There are wounded everywhere.

"This is just... horrible." You heard a voice behind you. Its your father, Coldgale. He too, is wounded badly. One of his leg has been broken and his chest is mostly covered in bandages. Blood is seeping through both of his arms."Never in my life have I ever thought something like... this will happen." He sighed.

"But, we musn't dwell in the past, as much as we want to. Snowpaw." Your dad puts his paw on your shoulder. "Whoever these invaders are, I have a feeling they won't be satisfied with only destroying our village. Before anyone else suffer, we must strike back.

Wire(Tre)

You leave your house and are greeted by some villagers. You've been helping them with their small tasks and assisting them when needed, like all the towns you've been visiting since you woke up and wandering around the earth. You're quite well-known here, especially with the older folks.

"Ah, good morning Mr. Wire." An elderly man in his 60s approaches you. You recognized him as Wilson, the village's chief. "I heard you're heading for Thrawn today, isn't that right?" He asked.

"You will be missed here, you know. But I already know you won't be here forever. Wherever you decide to go next, I hope you will bring happiness and peace together with you. And also, while I do not know fully about your circumstances, and why you're walking the earth, I hope you will find whatever you're looking for there."

"Head through the forest just north of here. I warn you, the monsters have been more aggressive lately, so you better be ready to fight your way through."

"Hey Fern, wakey-wakey." You felt someone slapping you awake. You slowly open your eyes and see Rean, trying to wake you up.

"Hey c'mon, don't be lazy. You finally got a lead to getting your normal body's back. You should be more enthusiastic."

You got up, glance at Rean and went outside. You see the sun rising from the horizon. "Nice morning today, isn't it?" Rean says. "I would like to come with you, but I think it works out better if I didn't. Don't worry too much about it. I will continue to look for more information to aid you in your travels back here. If anything happens, I will update you on it, okay?" He pulls you into a hug. "Don't do anything reckless, and remember everything that I have taught you. I'm proud of you, kid."

He lets go, an continues. "Once you're ready, make your way through the forest outside of this village. Prepare to engage in a few fights once you're in. Rumor says the monsters in there have been more aggressive and stronger lately. Do not give them any openings, and good luck."
