These are attempted pages on Gameloft games. Feel free to use these as the basis for them.

Motocross: Trial Extreme is a 2011 video game for mobile phones and smartphones by Gameloft. In it, your objective is to ride a bike and race through 25 different obstacle-filled tracks all over USA. Up to three stars can be earned from each track which are required to unlock other tracks and locations. The bike and character can also be customised. Between the level, there's always a woman who makes a comment about the level.

This game provides examples of:

  • 100% Completion: There's a percentage tracker which reaches 100% once you get all 75 stars. There are also achievements to earn.
  • Achievement Mockery: The "Crash Course" achievement requires you to crash 100 times, something which you normally wouldn't want to do (but will probably get without trying anyway).
  • Character Customisation: You can customise your racer's helmet (and partially head), top, gloves, pants, and shoes.
  • Gameplay Grading: Clearing a level can reward up to three start, based on time/trick points.
  • I Don't Like the Sound of That Place: According to a message when you unlock Grand Canyon, it is also known as the Grand Labyrinth of Rocky, Bone-Crushing Danger. "But don't let it scare you.", you're told.
  • Leet Lingo: There's a race called Don't Hesit8, Xlr8.
  • No Plot? No Problem!: There's no plot in the game itself. You get some comments after beating each stage, but no actual story.
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: The driver. If he hits anything, be it a wall, fire, TNT, or icicles, he'll crash and have to return to a previous checkpoint.
  • Pungeon Master: The woman in New York makes a pun in pretty much every line of hers.
  • Safety Gear Is Cowardly: For some reason, the safe biker gear is the default options and the risky articles of clothing like a cowboy hat or gangsta shirt are more expensive, making them seem cooler.
  • Shout-Out: You get a reference to Barack Obama's campaign when the woman in New York says "Yes! You! Can!"
  • Temporary Platform: There are some platforms which fall if you ride on them for too long, like the ice ones in Alaska.
  • Trial-and-Error Gameplay: You absolutely need to play through the level several times to anticipate the tracks and obstacles, as you're just about guaranteed to crash a lot if this is your first time play, especially with the screen-crunched mobile version and the more difficult later tracks.

Block Breaker series

These games provide examples of:

  • 1-Up: Pink heart icons restore one life.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: If the game notices you can't really hit the last few blocks, it will give a missile powerup to shoot it down with ease.
  • Breaking Out: It's your typical Breakout clone for mobile phones with essentially the same mechanics, though a more modern aesthetic.
  • No-Damage Run: Beating a level with no lives lost grants a 2000 point bonus.
  • Timed Mission: Each level in the second game has a three-minute time limit.
  • Trash Talk: A woman appears every few levels to taunt you about how you're going to lose.
  • Video-Game Lives: You start with three, though you can purchase more in the second game.

KO Fighting

This game provides examples of:

  • 100% Completion: The game's achievements menu shows a percentage static for game completion.
  • Character Customisation: You can customise your character's body type, skin tone, gloves, clothes, shoes, and height.
  • Difficulty Levels: Rookie, Amateur, and Pro.
  • Fanservice Extra: A woman wearing a leotard or some other skimpy clothing shows up before every round starts.
  • The Mentor: Tony, your trainer in career mode and tutorials, who mainly exists to give advice in them.
  • Practical Taunt: The humiliation button has your boxer taunt the other boxer with a gesture. This also recovers all stamina.
  • Sean Connery Is About to Shoot You: The game's promotional art/title screen shows a boxer about to punch you.
  • Smashing Survival: To break free from another boxer's grasp, you have to mash the A button.

My Life in New York

This game provides examples of:

  • Big Applesauce: The game takes place in New York. No other cities seem to be visitable or even exist, and the city is portrayed as glamourous.
  • Bouncer: You can turn your character into one with a specific style. There are many of them at the part as well.
  • Character Customisation: Your character can have their gender, name, skin, hair, accessories, shirt, pants, and shoes altered. There are a few preset styles to select from.
  • Dance Party Ending: Inverted, the game starts at a dance party.
  • Dumpster Dive: You can search trash bins and hope you'll find something inside. You may find nothing, though, and end up getting dirty as well. Junk inside can be eaten, too.
  • Karma Meter: The Kindness and Criminality stats - one goes up when you're friendly, the other when you're a jerk.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You can name the player character whatever you like, and other characters will refer to them by that name. It must be up to 10 letters and in CAPS LOCK.
  • Idle Animation: Normally, the player character will just breathe in and out while idling. However, get a need low enough and they'll get a new animation, with several needs leading to several animations getting cycled through (so if they're dirty, they'll start scratching themselves vigorously, if they're hungry, they'll stomach will grow, and if their bladder is full, they'll hold it).
  • Potty Failure: If you don't go to the bathroom for a long enough time, your character will pee themselves, which also results in a strong self-esteem boost.
  • Street Musician: A trio of musicians with randomly generated names can always be seen playing on Williamsburg street.
  • Video Game Caring Potential: You can do good actions, which range from feeding cats to giving cash to homeless people. Doing them raises your Kindness stat.
  • Video Game Cruelty Potential: You can do evil actions, which range from punching a tree to fighting normal people on the street. Doing them raises your Criminality stat.
  • World of Buxom: All women are busty to some extent. You can't even make your female character flat.

High School Hookups

This game provides examples of:

  • Crash-Into Hello: Sid introduces himself after running into your character. Same thing happens with Lena.
  • Dialogue Tree: You can pick one of three responses when talking to someone. Good response fill the bar, while bad ones deplete it.
  • Held Back in School: Sheena's been held back in the same class three times.
  • Interface Spoiler: The menu accessible from the very beginning lists all possible friends, before you have even met any of them. At least the profiles and achievement descriptions are kept a mystery.
  • NOT!: Talking to Jessie makes her say "I like your hair... NOT!"
  • Pyromaniac: Your character accuses Sheena of being a pyromaniac after hearing that she burned down her desk and explaining newbies around the schol is her punishment. He pretends that he didn't ask her.
  • Racing Minigame: You can get a minigame from Max. He tells you to beat his record for running around school in 30 seconds, which you can do for an achievement and a popularity boost.
  • Time Skip: Every time you clear a stage, the game advances a few days.
  • Welcome to Corneria: Generic students have a set of lines which they tend to repeat. Expect to hear "Hey, what's up? Can't you see I'm busy?" or "Yawn" often.

Zombiewood

This game provides examples of:

  • Ash Face: After exploding some dynamite, your character turns completely black except for the eyes.
  • Damsel in Distress: Sara gets kidnapped and it's job to rescue her.
  • Forced Tutorial: You have to go through a short tutorial level that shows the controls and explains them at the beginning.
  • Level-Up Fill-Up: You restore 10 HP when levelling up, which is quite a bit in this game.
  • Portmantitle: Combining "Zombie" and "Hollywood".
  • Power-Up Magnet: Coins are automatically attracted to Seth.
  • Respawning Enemies: For some reason, zombies spawn from certain points endlessly. This provides an opportunity to stand in place while the game shoots automatically and earn lots of EXP as well as cash.
  • Victory Pose: Seth always jumps in place with one fist up after clearing a stage.
  • Video Game Flamethrowers Suck: Averted. The flamethrower you pick up at the beginning can deal a high amount of damage at a nice range.
  • Zombie Apocalypse: The game takes place in an apocalypse of some kind.
