    Remade in general

The Remade were once ordinary people, until experiments were performed on them which fundamentally broke their soul and left them with a shattered sense of identity. Having escaped from their creators, the Remade seek to hold on to what shreds of their humanity remain while fighting off the various groups that wish to capture and use them. The Remade are categorized by Origin and Clade. Origin refers to how the Remade was made divergent, while Clade refers to how the powers they've been given manifest.
  • Body Horror: One of the most common and recognizable side effects of their powers. Often, the result of their Divergence is not easy on the eyes
  • Damaged Soul: The true source of all Remade's abilities. The experiments they were subjected to were so traumatic that it broke their soul and damaged their humanity. This is also why the more powerful they become, the crazier they get.
  • Soul Power: A rather strange variation of this. Rather than their power just coming from their soul, it comes from their soul being broken by their Divergence
  • Was Once a Man: Or even an animal, until being experimented on made them something far different.

Origins

    Autourgics
Also known as the Elect, these are the people who knew exactly (or at least mostly) what being Remade would entail, often already being a member of the Conspiracy that did the surgery. Unsurprisingly, most Elect are Devoted rather than Renegade, and the ones that do rebel have to earn their fellow's trust.

    Epimorphs
Also known as the Volunteers, these people were convinced be Remade through threats or promises made by a conspiracy... often without being properly informed of just what they were agreeing to.
  • Not What I Signed Up For: Just because an Epimorph volunteers doesn't mean they know what they are getting into until after being Remade.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Devoted Epimorphs, unlike Autourgic, serve their conspiracy because they receive some kind of benefit from it, not out of loyalty.

    Exomorphs
Also known as the Unwilling, these Remade were never given a say in what happened to them, having been abducted, threatened, or exposed without their knowledge. Unsurprisingly, Exomorphs go Renegade as soon as they can and frequently make getting revenge a top priority.

    Genotypals
Also known as the Born, for whom their powers are something which has been a part of them from birth, either because their parents are Remade, they possess some strange genetic trait, or a distant ancestor was experimented on. They tend to have the most diverse outlooks on both being Remade and on the various Conspiracies.

    Pathologicals
Also known as the Accidents, these people are victims of pure circumstance. Unlike other origins, Pathological were never turned into Remade intentionally, but because something happened completely by accident.

Clades

    Cephalists
Also known as Psychics, their Divergence manifests as being able to manipulate the world around them through sheer willpower.

    Chimerics
Also known as Hybrids, these Remade's Divergence causes them to combine with foreign flesh, be it animal, plant, parasite, or something far different.

    Coactives
Also known as Infused, these Remade have fused with some kind of outside energy during their Divergence, which they can then wield against others.

    Invasives
Also known as Cyborgs, their Divergence involved incorporating some sort of inanimate matter into their flesh, whether it be a gadget, an artifact, or an O-Part.
  • Cyborg: As their alternative name suggests. However, their implant doesn't have to be technological in nature, it could be magical, alien, or something else entirely.
  • Cybernetics Eat Your Soul: Given the state of the Deviant soul and the fact that the souls of Invasives got that way because of their cybernetics, this definitely applies.

    Mutants
Also known as Grotesques, during their Divergence, something within the very cells of these Remade rebelled against whatever was being used to rob them of their humanity. Sadly, this act still results in them being Remade, just in the opposite way a Progenitor meant them to.
