You are Your Avatar Travelling the Multiverse [1] [2] is a Role-Playing Game on Spacebattles. The players have been given the forms of their forum avatars and placed in various works of fiction.

Your Avatar In The Multiverse contains examples of:

  • Accidental Marriage: Griffin and Ayrenn.
  • All Your Base Are Belong to Us: The Hub is invaded by Dark Travelers.
  • Alternate Universe: Does this really need to be explained? It's a big, big, multiverse.
  • Advertisement:
  • Amusing Injuries: The black knight.
  • Ascended to a Higher Plane of Existence: After partially fusing with Uriel and Lasciel, Griffin has become both and angel and a demon.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: As one of the Guildmasters of Shadowrun, Umbra has fought Legendaries by himself. As a Snivy.
  • Back from the Dead: Umbra was gruesomely murdered by Gremmy Thoumeaux, with the injury list being: Bones transfigured into cookies, then crushed by gravitational force, changing all of his blood to acid, spears penetrating his heart, and lower torso, and and the lower half of his body removed by an explosion. Several bouts of Wish and a use of Sacred Ash later...
Gremmy: "You should have stayed dead! Why won't you die?!"
Umbra: "Because FUCK YOU, that's why!"
  • Band of Brothers: Some groups among the Travelers, as well as the Straw hat and Whitebeard pirates.
  • Advertisement:
  • The Beastmaster: Also Jesakofedo, due to his use of Soul Tablets/Trypticon/Predacons.
  • The Berserker: Lancelot, Gawain, and Alter.
  • Big Damn Heroes: A lot of examples.
    • Mordred and Lancelot arrive to save Kirito and Kam from Alter and Gawain.
    • Kirito stopping Squard from stabbing Whitebeard.
    • During the assault on the Hub, when other Travelers show up to help.
    • The RED team arriving at the climax of the Ultron fight.
  • Boring Invincible Hero: Jesakofedo. Sometimes. He seems to have fixed that lately.
  • Bothering by the Book: Kirito gets into an argument with a guard about the laws of Tamriel.
  • Breaking the Bonds: Griffin busts out of Dol Goldur while chained and bound.
  • Brought Down to Badass: Doctor Mod, who loses his gun and still manages to kick that snake's ass. Technically no powers, but hey, guns are useful for the rank-and-file. Could also be Badass Normal.

  • The Cavalry: Uriel saves Paradoxic and Sanguine.
  • Colony Drop: Kirito does this with the Witch King's fell beast. As well as Marathon and SC's FCV. Also the brethren moons attacking crisis earth.
  • Crapsack World: Gee, where to start..? They're everywhere.
  • Crossover: The player characters who interact with each other have several different fictional sources.
  • Cutting the Knot: Trayvan attempts this in the Labyrinth by destroying a wall.
  • Death Glare: Umbra can knock out weak humans with his Leer.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu??: Ubercharged Heavy's defeat of Ultron.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: Griffin. Normal, squishy human, but with blatant Dresdenverse badass wizard-magic. And a Fallen Angel in his head. And who was also possessed by Uriel for a while.
  • Gas Mask Mook: Doctor Mod, as a semi-generic Blackwatch soldier from Prototype.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: A 2000 meter one appears in Pacific rim. An even bigger one appeared in One Piece.
  • Glass Cannon: Umbra, who can destroy an island, and also be kicked like a soccer ball.
  • Grand Theft Me: Done to Joffrey Baratheon by Jes-as-Gremmy.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Baby 5, Shao Kahn, and Mordred are all Travelers. Admiral Zephyr as well.
  • Henshin Hero: When Kyogre transforms into Primal Kyogre.
  • Hub Level: A hub world is eventually created for the players to use between travels.
  • Intoxication Ensues: After Jesakofedo's appearance on the Hub, Kirito gets drunk off his ass.
  • Involuntary Shapeshifting: Happens to Doctor Mod and various others, notably Griffin, who ends up female for a while. Most cases are caused by Gremmy's short attention span and inability to keep his thoughts to himself. Griffin's case is something else entirely, however.
  • Mega Manning: Sasaki and Kyogre's adventure in One Piece is based on this.
  • Mook Maker: The crab spawns drones, as well as SC and Marathon.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!: SC has a habit of making things worse.
  • Only Sane Man: How Doctor Mod would like to think of himself. Further events may call that into doubt...
  • Order Versus Chaos: The Travellers versus Dark Travellers
  • Publicly Discussing the Secret: Arcueid openly informs Dresden and Murphy that she isn't human.
  • Reality Warper: Applies to Jesakofedo/Gremmy. Because, well. Gremmy.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Jack's plans for many of the series he plans to go to, including Attack on Titan.
  • Shout-Out: The players tend to make a lot of them.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: The end of the Siege, mainly thanks to the annihilator.
  • Suddenly SHOUTING!: When Griffin finds out his bar is a smoldering ruin.
  • Squee!: This is Marisa's reaction to meeting Ryuko.
  • Touched by Vorlons: Griffin, SplicedHunter, and Doctor Mod. To be extra-technical, all the players. After all, you're not your avatar in daily life...
  • Trauma Button: Griffin's experiences in Tamriel.
  • Wave Motion Gun: Excalibur Sanguine's attack, albeit weaker than the original.
  • We Have Reserves: SC's approach to combat, throwing weak units at a target until it dies or retreats.
  • Wham Line: "The Hub itself is in danger."
