The official map of Marin
World of Marin is formerly a Chatzy-based (now on Discord) roleplay started in July 2015, with a focus on low fantasy situations.
Visitors are heavily encouraged to make their own character, flesh out their backstories, and join in the fun by placing their character in one of the kingdoms and finding a roleplay partner. In addition to the room itself
, there is also a wiki.
World of Marin provides examples of:
- Aerith and Bob: Kenna, Marshall, Felix, alongside Vronti, Potema, Bradaí, and Ka'eon.
- Enfant Terrible: Prince Nickles, who is responsible for genocide. He's also fifteen.
- Ensemble Cast: Any character can be as involved in the plot as their writer desires, so this leads to a wide variety of storylines without a character becoming the singular focus.
- Fantastic Racism: Dwarves, Elves, Drow, and Shifters are all marginalized and given the umbrella term "Sub-Human"
- One-Steve Limit: Averted. There are two women named Elizabeth and two named Fleur.
- Rank Scales with Asskicking: Many of the rulers and nobles in Marin are rather dangerous in a fight. Some specific examples are Bradaí Maíth and Marshall Carter.
