Persona: Disappearing Dreams in a Play-by-Post role-playing forum based on Persona 3&4 and hosted on Fanfiction.net. It is a relatively new role-playing forum, started in mid-August 2011 by Shonen Kaiser. Despite being so young, it has grown quite a bit and quickly.

The plot so far involves the investigation of the Mirror World, the resealing of the Dark Hour, and the fight against a clan of Demons known as Angels as Ryusaki and his friends discover their personae and deal with their personal problems.

The RP can be found here.

Tropes related to Persona: Disappearing Dreams:

  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Mon manages to be one of the top scoring students in the school despite not even trying. Especially in math where he claims to have a sharingan-like ability to be able to learn how to solve any kind of problem after seeing it done once.
  • Covert Pervert: Minoru justifies some of her racy drawings as 'art,' that are merely for storing into her personal 'art collection.'
  • Dem Bones: Mao's Persona Turdak is a skeleton wielding two swords.
  • Disappeared Dad:
    • Minoru's father left after a messy divorce with Anzu's mother. Surprisingly, she doesn't resent this, and merely believes that he'll come back to Iwatodai eventually.
    • Mon's father left to work in America for most of Mon's life. He's returned now, but Mon hasn't really been able to reconnect with him.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Mon doesn't actually like it when people call him Mon, though almost everyone does considering how long his name is.

  • Heroes Prefer Swords: Although he can use several different kinds of weapons, Ishida fights best with sword mainly due this trope applying to video games and manga as well as his kendo training.
  • I Know Mortal Kombat: Most of Ishida's skills in swordsmanship come from a combination of video games, manga, and actual Kendo training.
  • Mighty Glacier: Ken is slow but has the highest Strength and Endurance.
  • Never Mess with Granny: Alice is pushing 90 with a weak heart and brittle bones, yet she can still kick your ass.
  • Rebellious Princess: Hitomi was born into a rich family but didn't like the teaching the forced upon her.
  • School Uniforms are the New Black: The RP characters are always wearing their school uniforms. The only exceptions are weekends and holidays when they don't go to school.
