Twitch Trolls Pokémon is a Journal Roleplay spin-off of theTwitch Plays Pokémon let's play. It was created in July 2014 on Reddit by Reddit user Trollkitten and her loveable AI companion Lord Bill.Exe. Starting as an innocent holiday to Hoenn, events quickly spiralled out of control and soon enough the players became responsible for saving the multiverse from dark threats.

Twitch Trolls Pokemon contains examples of:
- Abnormal Ammo: The best way to defeat outsiders is to catch them with quick balls, and other Bill has developed a line of anti-outsider guns that fire quick balls, let them catch the outsiders, return the quick ball to the gun, and then delete the data on the outsiders as the gun auto-reloads. This gun is in the possession of police forces and military units all across his world. His entralink is also stocked full of automated quick ball firing turrets designed to fire if any outsiders even enter the entralink.
- Aerith and Bob: Allison, Bill, Dan, Doug...Trollkitten, Sapientia, Cameron. (to be fair, having many universes interact in one setting can set this up realistically)
- Alien Sky: Inside the Entralink and also if the Outsiders start breaking through into ANY world.
- All There in the Manual: Trollkitten has a blog that contains elements of the story that take place before the RP begins, plus a knowledge of Twitch Plays Pokemon helps considerably.
- Amulet of Dependency: The major has a sword that allows him to harm outsiders, but it corrupts him in the process. Don't ask where it came from.
- Ancient Artifact: The three superweapons that have made it somewhat possible for us to have a chance against the endgame villains. Apparently there is another set located in the Outsider Mirror World.
- Ascended Fanon: The entire purpose of the RP.
- Batman Gambit: The Major often bases his “plans” on how he thinks others will react. It doesn’t always work. Alt-Bill pulled off a successful one in taunting evil Fennel into following him into the Entralink then blowing it up.
- Big "NO!": The Major is fond of this.
- Bilingual Bonus: Important places and names often have the best Latin Google Translate can buy.
- Brick Joke: The price of Mind Bleach, Sapientia calling Cameron “dummy” or “pedophile”. Gible being difficult, Sentret chasing its tail and robbing people blind while they are distracted.
- Bubble Pipe: The Major has been known to use one when he wants to look really wizard-y.
- Bullying a Dragon: Amais seems to be trying to make the Major have a breakdown. Time will tell if it works.
- Butt-Monkey: Cameron and the Major, despite being highly skilled magically, tend to have a lot happen to mess with them. Also, Dan is often treated this way be the other members of the Team.
- Calling Your Attacks: In this setting, you have to say SOMETHING to make most spells work…
- Casual Danger Dialogue: Cameron all the time, he almost always talks with his opponent before actually fighting them.
- Crapsaccharine World: Draysten is a third world country, but it is still a Pokemon world country.
- Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Cameron’s entire body glowing Octarine is a sign he’s using Magic capable of destroying his physical body if he isn’t careful. All-Bane as well is not something the Major wants to use regularly.
- Deus Exit Machina: When battling Robus of the Vita Trio, the Major is stripped of his magic powers with little explanation, forcing the cast to get the magic items before they can defeat him (and leveling the playing field among characters). Even without his powers, the Major still somewhat averts this trope and puts up an impressive fight, seriously damaging Robus with a sword before we got our superweapons.
- Don't Make Me Destroy You: Other Bill’s plan to end The Outsider threat in the Post Apocalyptic universe was to threaten to destroy the entire universe and all The Outsiders with it. This was a bluff, and even more embarrassing for him, a failed bluff, but at the time he considered destroying the main rp universe as almost acceptable collateral damage to saving the multiverse.
- Dysfunction Junction: A given, with the Bills in particular. Basically a large number of heroic characters are completely paranoid and have plans to take out the other characters if they prove to be a threat.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Even Amais, the guy who seems to want to destroy everything, is disgusted by Robus and thinks he is a horrible person. This does not mean that he is willing to stop Robus though, as long as Robus is working for him.
- Everything Sensor: Lots of these. The entralink is sort of one, but it has its limits. Zigzagoon is an everything sensor so long as ice cream is somewhere in that everything, and when you combine Flak’s technical expertise with the mirror world’s visual detection of everything, it becomes pretty much impossible to hide anything from Amais or any of the outsiders. Cameron also has one of these.
- Fantasy Kitchen Sink: The Major’s mini-universe runs on Fountain rules. Which means there’s no rules. Sprites live in the garden, an orc is master of potions and She-Dragons meditate in the Wyrdwood.
- Fatal Flaw: Robus’ particularly brutal/evil fatal flaw is that he’s too distracted by women to fight effectively. Flak, meanwhile, has a fatal flaw of being an overconfident idiot at times.
- It Runs on Nonsensoleum: Zigzagoon’s ice cream powers. There is no explanation for this, and even Bill has sort of given up trying to figure it out, and now tries to manipulate it to help him. It may simply be chalked down to Clap Your Hands If You Believe.
- Lethal Joke Character: The Major was intended to be a comic tech support-type character- until Gioz decided he was to take a more active role.
- Matter Replicator: The %ntralink appears to have this capability, though exactly how advanced it is is very plot dependent. It does not seem to be able to produce ice cream for an as of yet undiscovered reason. It may not be able to produce food at all, though eating food is established to be possible in the entralink, but it may not be necessary to survive.
- The Middle Ages: The Major spends most of his time in a plane like this, which is why he has a hard time with technology.
- A Million Is a Statistic: A lot of deaths occurred at Dioptase City, but other than Myst they are largely forgotten. Some of the characters may have plans to restore the lives lost.
- Noblewoman's Laugh: Giratina. Somehow, despite laughing using pincers.
- No Conservation of Energy: Cameron has problems with this when he’s worried about someone dying.
- Novelization: Trollkitten plans on doing one.
- Reset Button: When the future became an apocalyptic nightmare that destroyed everything, the Major and Trollkitten had to change the past to fix everything. Other Bill, two of Allison’s pokemon, and about 80% of the world died in the future and were revived when the past changed.
- Rule of Cool: The Triple M, an interdimensional limo shaped like a mansion.
- Running Gag: Cameron not getting credit for anything.
- Self-Destruct Mechanism: Bill’s Entralink devices have this, and once this was actually used effectively to take down an evil Fennel in an alternate universe.
- Serial Escalation: The group went from hiding in a rowboat to saving the multiverse.
- Talking Is a Free Action: Usually the only thing allowed outside of the designated roleplaying times. Though, this trope is somewhat subverted with reddit formatting during the actual rp, since talking and waiting for a response takes up valuable time and other things will happen to other people during that time.
- Techno Babble: Fennel and Bill are full of this in their explanations of how their devices work. Since neither one of these characters is being controlled by the GM, they are not always reliable witnesses either, and what they think their technology is going to do could very potentially do something different.
- Timed Mission: Five days to save the world.
- We Will Meet Again: Uttered by Sapientia to Cameron while she was still considered a villain.
- Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: Our enemies, particularly Flaknel, would have had an easier time if they had simply killed Team Trollkitten in the beginning.
