I, _____, hereby declare my intent to attend Twilight Academy. I swear upon my life to speak not a word of it to any person, being, or spirit not of the Academy, and to uphold its laws and tenants to the best of my ability. I also attest that all of the following is true and accurate, and that I am not omitting any information from the Academy within this Contract. I understand that the Twilight Academy is concerned with ability, not morality, and that any criminal past is not a bar to entry, but I will be expected to refrain from acts which might reveal Twilight Academy to the public, including being caught breaking any federal laws or using my powers before any person not privy to this information already.
-One of the entry contracts signed by newcomers to Twilight Academy.

Twilight Academy is yet another Bay12 roleplay, found here. It details the lives of several students within the titular magical academy, as they get around romance, friendship, studying, and life.

So basically, your typical magical academy.

This roleplay displays examples of:

  • Aerith and Bob: Names like Victoria and Isaac go hand in hand with names like Darnos, Medea and Angerus.
  • Angerus is also rather kind, even to Cultist-Chan and the like. He is still, however, a Space Marine.
  • Killed Off for Real: Vornar. He was killed for pressing a point the Headmistress explicitly warned him not to. The GM stated that Death took reincarnated him and he ended up with his old friends again. He was back with a 10-orphan strong brotherhood behind him, and then due to alleged potential issues between Vornar and Angel, Vornar is gone. People don't talk about him anymore.

  • Loads and Loads of Characters: Over a dozen PCs, many of which have NPCs created and sometimes controlled by the same player, on top of NPC teachers and students...thankfully, not many NPCs are typically around at once.
  • Luminescent Blush: As the Selina in this game is an Expy of the one from Rise of the Magic Girls, it's to be expected.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Some of the characters are alternate-universe versions of characters from other Bay12 roleplays, such as The Lost and Found and Rise of the Magic Girls. Notable among these is Angerus, a Space Marine. It helps that at least three of the players were from LaFoTM, and several were also in Rise of the Magic Girls.
  • Oblivious to Love: Medea. Even the GM outright blasting her with love magic strong enough to make her fall in love with anyone failed.

  • Our Vampires Are Different: Not only that, but there are multiple kinds of different! Each type of vampire is called a "court," and follows different rules. The only Court we know much about is the Pearl Court, which includes Nikki and Angel. Nikki finds the blood of anyone who has not been through puberty disgusting. Vampire bites can cause the victim to become attracted to the vampire]].
  • Shipper on Deck: Nikki and Kyle for Medea and Isaac. Angel is trying to ship Medea with Isaac and Kyle, so everyone can have a happy ending.

How well does it match the trope?
