• JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has made some admittedly hard-to-spot references to The Police.
  • The pet dog of Koichi Hirose from Diamond is Unbreakable is named Police.
  • In Steel Ball Run, one of the participants of the Steel Ball Run race is named Zenyattà Mondatta, while his race horse is named Roxanne.
  • On a similar note, in the dub of Stardust Crusaders, the Oingo Boingo Brothers were renamed to Zenyatta and Mondatta.
  • A complex Rock Animal from JoJolion is given the name of Dododo de Dadada.

Live-Action TV

• Community: The famous episode "Remedial Chaos Theory" features "Roxanne" as part of each timeline.
• "The Office (US)": Kevin is shown to be a drummer in a Police cover band called "Scrantonicity." He later forms a second band called "Scrantonicity II."
• Veronica Mars: In the first season episode "Mars vs. Mars", when Carrie Bishop accuses Mr. Rooks of sexual harassment and getting her pregnant, at lunch afterwards, a few of her classmates taunt her by singing, "Don't Stand so Close to Me".

• Arctic Monkeys' "When the Sun Goes Down" (which is about prostitution) contains a reference to "Roxanne":
  And I've seen him with girls of the night
  And he told Roxanne to put on her red light

Video Games

• In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, peppy villagers may remark during Bunny Day about finding colorful bottles (which contain DIY recipes for Bunny Series furniture) on the beach, before stating that the sight inspired them to write some song lyrics. Said lyrics, appropriately, parody the chorus of "Message in a Bottle".
