  • A scene from Con Air has the convicts partying to "Sweet Home Alabama". Garland Greene notes the ironic situation that they’re doing it on a plane and the members of the band were ruined by a plane crash.
  • Kimmy vs. The Reverend has Titus forced to sing "Free Bird", which he knows because as a Southerner, “All four years of high school English was the poetry of Lynyrd Skynyrd”. But being an interactive movie, there's also a choice for him to instead sing a made-up song regarding a bird in a pet shop, that leads to a riot due to what policemen called a code 649: "disrespecting Lynyrd Skynyrd".
  • In One-Trick Pony, the band members are listing dead rock stars. One of them mentions Lynyrd Skynyrd, and makes a swooping motion with his hand like a plane descending.

  • Young Sheldon: In "One Bad Night and Chaos of Selfish Desires", at the bar, George says he loves Lynyrd Skynyrd when one of their songs comes on the jukebox. However, the next day, when Mary drives George home from the hospital and a Lynyrd Skynyrd song comes on the radio, George turns off the radio, because the song now has a bad association for him.
