- The Empath: The Luckiest Smurf series story arc "Smurfed Behind" is named after the book series, although, while it has the Smurfs disappearing and Empath and Polaris left behind, it has nothing to do with the Rapture or anything even remotely Christian, besides just one story where the time-traveling Smurfs meet Jesus during the week leading to His crucifixion.
