  • Robin: Part two of "The Virtual Cell" Teen Titans crossover story is titled "Rocket Man" after the Elton John song.

  • In Aloha, Bobby and Rose, a number of Elton John songs are played on the radio, particularly "Bennie and the Jets," which is played several times. Also, at one point the protagonists drive past a sign advertising Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
  • Almost Famous: After Russell gets into a fight with Jeff and the rest of the band, he goes to a party with William and drops acid. When Dick comes and gets him the following morning, everyone on the tour bus is upset with Russell, but everything seems to be forgiven when "Tiny Dancer" starts playing on the bus, and everyone sings along. Also, later in the movie, when William is looking for Penny after she runs out of the restaurant, "Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters" plays over the soundtrack.
