  • A promo for Cow and Chicken features the two titular characters sitting on chairs at a desk. The (unseen) Cartoon Network boss gives ideas for the plot of the show they'll be in. One of them is Cow and Chicken's Laboratory, which depicts Chicken as Dexter and Cow as Dee Dee. Chicken responds by saying "Seen it!"

  • Arthur: In "The Contest", Arthur, Muffy, Buster, Francine, Binky, and the Brain are all sharing stories. The Brain's story, "Hair Growth Formula", is a parody of Dexter's Laboratory, right down to imitating its Thick-Line Animation. It features the Brain as Dexter, Francine and Muffy as look-alikes of Dee Dee and Mee Mee, and Arthur as the Brain's lab assistant.
  • Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: In "Eddie Monster", a small teen who resembles Dexter can be seen at one point along with three other boys who look like the Eds from Ed, Edd n Eddy.
  • I Am Weasel: In "I Am My Lifetime", an elderly version of Dexter is among the old cartoon stars.
  • The Powerpuff Girls (1998):
    • In "Powerpuff Bluff", Dexter can be seen among the students taking a nap at Pokey Oaks Kindergarten.
    • In "Criss Cross Crisis", when Professor Utonium tries to get everyone's bodies back to normal, Dexter can seen in place of Ms. Sara Bellum at one point.
    • In "Bought and Scold", Quackor the Fowl, Mandark's pet duck appears as one of the villains in the montage at the beginning of the episode (when the narrator says "Foul!"), despite never having fought the girls.
    • In "Ploys R Us", plush toys of Dexter, Dee Dee and Monkey can be seen in the toy store.
    • In "Forced Kin", Dexter watches Mojo Jojo as he beats down the Alien Leader.
    • In "Imaginary Fiend", Bubbles suggests sending Dee Dee's imaginary friend Koosalagoopagoop to beat up Mike's imaginary friend Patches. However, Buttercup declines her request, saying "Nobody likes that Koos jerk!"
    • The TV Puppet Pals appear in several episodes, including "Mommy Fearest" (where the girls and the Professor watch the show before going to bed), "Hot Air Buffoon" (where Buttercup and Bubbles are seen playing the TV Puppet Pals video game), and "Powerprof."   • Robot Chicken:
    • A sketch from "Never Forget" involves Dexter applying for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, only to be turned down due to a lack of extracarricular activities. As retribution, Dexter uses his shrink ray to shrink MIT so he can put it in a bottle. At the end of the sketch, Dee Dee reveals to Dexter that she got accepted into MIT, Harvard, and Yale because of how well-rounded she is.
    • A sketch from "May Cause Internal Diarrhea" has Dexter invent the Mom-Droid and put her up for commercial sale.
  • Samurai Jack: In "Jack Vs. Mad Jack, Huntor from Dial M For Monkey makes an appearance.
  • Time Squad: Dexter makes a cameo appearance in "Orphan Substitute", where he is mistaken for an orphan.
