  • In Hairspray (2007), Velma's Engineered Public Confession is capped with Edna telling her that she's on Candid Camera while pointing one of the studio's cameras at her.
  • In The Million Dollar Duck, government officials search a man's truck. One of them says, "I know you got a duck here somewhere." The man says, "Duck? Hey, I know. This is Candid Camera, right?"

  • Knight Rider: A character hears KITT's evil twin KARR talk, and cracks a joke about Allen Funt. KARR then asks who Allen Funt is.

Western Animation

  • The Flintstones: In "Peek-a-Boo Camera", the Flintstones and Rubbles are shown to be fans of the titular program, which is a parody of Candid Camera. The main plot kicks off when Fred and Barney are caught by the show's cameras while at a bachelor party and, because they lied to their wives so they could go, try to prevent them from seeing the incriminating footage on the show.
  • Misterjaw: In scaring his latest victim, Misterjaw accidentally swallows a transistor radio, which starts playing whenever he hiccups. He and Catfish go to look for a repair shop to shut off the radio, but the police alert Fearless Freddy, the shark hunter. Misterjaw and Catfish hide from him in a mailbox. When Misterjaw hiccups, setting off the radio, Freddy looks to see where the voice is coming from, then says, "I know! I'm on Funny Camera!"
  • Rocky and Bullwinkle: One storyline had Boris and Natasha trying to get the Kirwood Derby (a hat whose wearer becomes the smartest person in the world), which is a take-off on Durward Kirby, who was one of the co-hosts of the show.
