The show is referenced in a later episode on Lucifer, where Lucifer watches it obsessively during one night while he is trying to stay awake. He expresses a lot of love for the show in some later episodes too.
In Rick and Morty, Rick and Summer briefly watch Ass on interdimensional cable, which Summer describes as "like Bones but they solve ass crimes". Rick gets invested and asks if the two leads will hook up, to which she replies that they won't and only lame people want that. When they do hook up and Rick is about to leave, Summer asks if she should pause it. However, Rick claims that the show got boring since the leads got together.
