Playmaker's attempts to prevent conflict between the Ignis and humans have failed. Due to Revolver's attack, the Light Ignis is now hellbent on subjugating the humans. The Light Ignis then declares war on humanity and kicks off his plan to place humans under the Ignis's control. In order to accomplish the Ignis's goal, Bowman appears and challenges Playmaker to a Duel.


This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Blood Shepherd effortlessly decimates countless numbers of Bits and Boots by his lonesome.
  • Fusion Dance: The Bits and Boots summoned by Lightning attempt to perform one, but he stops them on the grounds that it'll lessen their numbers.
  • Info Dump: The episode further reveals not only the individual responsible for the destruction of the Cyberse World, but also the origins of Bohman, Haru, and Bit & Boot.
  • The Reveal: Both in regards to Lightning:
    • He confesses that he was responsible for the destruction of the Cyberse World.
    • While in the middle of destroying the Cyberse World, he summoned the Data Storm which blew Playmaker back up onto the same bridge which he and Spectre Dueled on.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: Flame chews out on Lightning for destroying the Cyberse World, the Ignis's symbol of peace, and vows to make him pay for it.
  • This Means War!: After negotiations for humanity and AI to peacefully coexist fall apart completely, Lightning declares war on humanity.
