Blood Shepherd has searched through Soulburner's memories and discovered his weakness. Blood Shepherd then uses his vicious Drone combo to overwhelm Soulburner and drive him into a corner. Can Soulburner overcome his weakness and win this Duel?

- Curb-Stomp Battle: Playmaker floors Yoroizaka by wiping all of the latter's LP in a single turn like he did to Kenmochi in the previous episode without letting his own LP deplete.
- Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: Flame encourages Takeru to reincarnate and move forward after the latter falls into a hopeless state when he is pushed into a corner by his childhood fear, "Despair from the Dark".
- Hoist by His Own Petard: While Yoroizaka managed to put up somewhat more of a fight than Kenmochi did, his "Gouki the Solid Ogre" ultimately contributed to his downfall as the Effect of "Firewall Dragon", which was co-linked to both "Solid Ogre" and "Flame Administrator", completely cleared Yoroizaka's Field of Monsters, and Yoroizaka subsequently received direct attacks from both "Dual Assembwurm" and "Firewall Dragon", costing him the Duel.
- "Oh, Crap!" Fakeout: When Blood Shepherd summons "Despair from the Dark", Soulburner freaks out to the point of near paralyzation, just as Blood Shepherd anticipated. Turns out though that Soulburner was just faking it, having suspected Blood Shepherd would use the tactic without learning he had overcome his trauma.
- One-Hit Kill:
- After Playmaker completely clears Yoroizaka's Field of Monsters, the former wipes out all of the latter's LP by attacking with "Dual Assembwurm" and "Firewall Dragon".
- Takeru wipes out all of Ryujiro's LP in a single turn with "Tempest Fire", inflicting damage to both players equal to the destroyed "Phoenix Gearfried's" original ATK, then destroying "Despair from the Dark" and inflicting damage to Ryujiro equal to half of his Monster's ATK.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Blood Shepherd claims that Soulburner has no future ahead of him as a Duelist due to the scars of his past traumas, and advises him to give up and hand over Flame.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Blood Shepherd leaves immediately after the emergency rescue program was completed by Emma, which frees Soulburner from Blood Shepherd's trap.
- Stopped Reading Too Soon: Turns out that Blood Shepherd should've seen the rest of Soulburner's memory regarding his first meeting with Flame. If he had, he would've found out that Soulburner had overcome his fear of "Despair from the Dark" long ago. Flame even points this out.
- The Unreveal: The audience never sees Blood Shepherd's final set card due to Emma interrupting his and Soulburner's duel right before the former can activate it. He claims it would have won him the duel.
- Unwanted Rescue: Blood Shepherd doesn't take kindly to Ghost Girl interrupting his Duel with Soulburner by bailing Soulburner out of Blood Shepherd's trap, and attempts to blast her for it.
